This is the strongest possible language the AHA uses short of absolute contraindication; it is a recommendation against use based on evidence of harm.

While VR may support knowledge acquisition (Class 2b), the AHA explicitly states that "the use of virtual reality alone is not recommended" for resuscitation training.

Compression training demands calibrated force, rhythm, body positioning, and endurance that can only be developed through tactile feedback from a compressible surface.
