Carter is officially headed to middle school. 😭

Y'all internet nephew was completely unbothered.

Meanwhile I'm standing there emotional.

Watching your children grow is such a weird experience.

One minute they're asking you to tie their shoes.

The next minute they're walking into a whole new chapter.

And honestly?

I think entrepreneurship changed the way I experience moments like this.

Not because it made life perfect.

But because it gave me more opportunities to be present for them.

These kids are growing up fast.

And I'm grateful I get to witness it.

What's something you didn't appreciate in the moment but miss now?

Today is Juneteenth.

A day that reminds us freedom is something people work for, build for, and protect.

As I've been reflecting on my own journey—and watching the conversations happening across Medicaid—I've found myself thinking a lot about freedom.

Not revenue. Not titles. Not growth.

Real freedom.

For years, I thought freedom would come from success.

More clients. More staff. More growth.

But experience taught me something different.

Growth doesn't automatically create freedom.

Because if everything depends on you...

Are you really free?

The more I sit with it, the more I realize:

Compliance was never the destination. Freedom was.

The ability to trust your people.

Trust your systems.

Trust what you've built.

The ability to step away.

Be present. Live.

That's what I've been thinking about lately.

And next week, I'll share more.

Looking at this picture...

I realized something.

My kids remember the bus rides.

The laughs.

The adventures.

The memories.

They don't remember payroll.

Staffing shortages.

Late nights.

Stress.

And honestly?

That's a reminder for all of us.

Your family experiences a different version of the story than you do.

If your family described this season of your life, what do you hope they'd say?

06/18/2026

This stopped me in my tracks.

"You have earned the right to lead because of the things you suffered."

Whew.

I don't think people realize how much leadership gets built in private.

The setbacks.

The disappointments.

The mistakes.

The seasons that force you to rebuild.

The things you never planned for.

One day I'll probably tell the full story.

But there are reasons I'm so passionate about helping providers build structure before they need it.

There are reasons I care so much about visibility.

There are reasons I refuse to glorify growth without systems.

Pain teaches lessons success never will.

And if you're willing to learn from it...

it can become the very thing that qualifies you to help somebody else.

Looking back now...

what setback are you grateful happened?

The first time I built success...

I was proving something.

This time?

I'm building from alignment.

And honestly...

those are two very different journeys.

What's something that motivates you today that didn't motivate you when you first started?

06/17/2026

I noticed.

And honestly... that almost made me cry.

For months, y'all internet niece Jenzy has been giving us:

"Huh?"
"What?"
"I can't hear you."

😂

Then she started turning her TV up loud.

We took her to her regular doctor and she failed her hearing screening.
So today we found ourselves sitting at the audiologist.

And while we were waiting, I had this moment.

Not because I was scared.

But because I realized something.

I noticed.

There was a season in my life where I was so consumed with work, survival, staffing, clients, payroll, and putting out fires that I probably would've missed the pattern entirely.

Today I had the space to notice.

Thankfully she passed with flying colors.

The audiologist said she's probably just distracted and living her best little Jenzy life. 😂

But sitting there reminded me:
Success isn't just making money.

Sometimes success is having enough margin in your life to notice the things that matter.

And whether the outcome had been good or bad...

I was there.

Have you ever realized you were moving so fast that you were missing things right in front of you?

You know what's funny?

At one point I thought success was the helicopter ride.

The cars.
The offices.
The photos.

Now?

I think success is peace.

Presence.
Systems.
Freedom.

Funny how your definition changes as you grow.

How has your definition of success changed over the years?

My mom gets to be grandma now.

And that might not sound like a big deal.

But for me it is.

There was a season where family involvement happened because I was overwhelmed.

Because I needed help.

Because I was trying to keep everything together.

Now?

Moments like this happen because we're all simply enjoying each other.

No emergency.
No burnout.
No chaos.

Just family.

Watching them sneak off and make silly faces at dinner made me realize something...

This is what I was working for all along.

Not just income.
Not just growth.

Moments.

What's something you're able to enjoy today that you once only hoped for?

My dad was proud of me before there was anything to be proud of.

Empty office.

No clients.

No success story.

No proof.

Just belief.

And that's something I'll never forget.

Because some people don't wait for results before they believe in you.

They just believe in YOU.

I think about that often.

Shout out the person who believed in you before it happened

What's one thing someone believed about you before you believed it yourself?

06/15/2026

One thing I've learned after burnout...

if your business can't survive while you're laughing, resting, traveling, or enjoying dinner...

you don't own a business.

You own another job.

And honestly?
A lot of providers don't need more hustle.

They need more structure. Type “guilty” if your business can’t survive without you

What's something burnout taught you that hustle never could?
