We’re excited to share highlights from a special milestone for The Centers for Kidney Care!

On April 22, we proudly celebrated the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of our new Access Surgery Center — the Dialysis Access Surgery Center of Tyler, now located at 5609 S Donnybrook Ave, Tyler, TX 75703. This new location represents an important step forward as we continue expanding high-quality, patient-centered care for our community.

For over 25 years, The Dialysis Access Center of Tyler has proudly served the East Texas community, and this expansion allows us to continue that commitment in an even greater way.

The Dialysis Access Surgery Center is dedicated to providing specialized procedures that are essential for patients requiring dialysis. By offering these services in a focused, outpatient setting, we’re able to deliver:

✔️ Improved patient convenience with faster scheduling and reduced wait times
✔️ High-quality, specialized care from experienced providers
✔️ Lower costs compared to hospital-based procedures
✔️ Enhanced patient comfort in a streamlined, outpatient environment
✔️ Better outcomes through timely maintenance and management of dialysis access

We are grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate this exciting new chapter, including our team members, community partners, and local supporters. Your continued support allows us to grow and better serve patients across East Texas.

Here’s to advancing care, improving lives, and strengthening our community together.

💙 World Kidney Day 💙

Today is a reminder to take care of the organs that quietly support us every day—our kidneys. These small but powerful organs filter waste, balance fluids, and keep our bodies functioning properly.

Chronic kidney disease affects millions of people worldwide, often without symptoms in the early stages. That’s why awareness, prevention, and early detection are so important.

You can help protect your kidney health by:
✔️ Staying hydrated
✔️ Eating a balanced diet
✔️ Monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar
✔️ Staying active
✔️ Getting regular checkups

Let’s use today to spread awareness, support those living with kidney disease, and encourage healthy habits for everyone.

💚 Healthy kidneys for all.

At the Centers for Kidney Care, supporting patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN) means helping them understand not just their disease but what to do when it flares.

A recent article from Everyday Health outlines a step-by-step action plan for managing IgAN flares that can occur after an infection, explaining why they happen and how patients and care teams can respond effectively:

Our own Dr. Stefanie Diaz shared expert insight in the article, emphasizing the importance of early communication with your nephrology team. If you notice changes such as dark or bloody urine after a cold or other illness, it’s important to reach out promptly so labs can be reviewed, kidney function monitored, and next steps discussed.

At CKC, we believe:
✔️ Education empowers patients
✔️ Partnership improves outcomes
✔️ Early action can make a meaningful difference

If you or a loved one is living with IgAN, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Learn how to manage an IgA nephropathy flare with this detailed action plan. Understand symptoms and prevention to safeguard kidney health and avoid future flares.
