Opened in 1974, Tyler Nephrology Associates, PA, dba The Centers for Kidney Care provides care for patients with chronic kidney disease & kidney failure in the East Texas, Northeast Texas, & Southeast Oklahoma areas. In addition, we serve patients through the Dialysis Access Center of Tyler & 18 dialysis centers & multiple transplant programs in East Texas, Northeast Texas, & Oklahoma.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Claudia Goodsett to The Centers for Kidney Care team!

Dr. Goodsett was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and earned her medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and her Nephrology fellowship at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas. She is Board Certified in Nephrology.

Dr. Goodsett is on active staff at UT Health Tyler and CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Tyler and provides telehealth services to multiple rural facilities throughout the CHRISTUS and UT Health East Texas networks. She also holds courtesy privileges at Paris Regional Health and is a member of the Smith County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.

Her special interests include the management of chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, and home dialysis therapies.

Dr. Goodsett brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and dedication to patient-centered kidney care. We are proud to have her as part of our growing team and look forward to the positive impact she will make in the lives of our patients and communities across East Texas.

🎓 Congratulations to Dr. Alyssa Weyer! 🎉

The Centers for Kidney Care is proud to celebrate a significant milestone as we honored the graduation of our very first fellow from the UT Tyler Nephrology Fellowship Program on June 30, 2026.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Alyssa Weyer on successfully completing her nephrology fellowship training. Her dedication, hard work, and commitment to providing exceptional patient care have been evident throughout her training, and we are excited to see all that she will accomplish in the years ahead.

We are also thrilled to announce that Dr. Weyer will be joining The Centers for Kidney Care as a physician on July 13, 2026. We are honored that she has chosen to continue her career with our team and serve the East Texas community.

Please join us in welcoming Jason Scott, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to our team at The Centers for Kidney Care!

Jason was born in Paris, Texas, and earned his Bachelor of Science in nursing from The University of Texas at Tyler. After several years of providing compassionate care as a Registered Nurse in Tyler, he continued his education at The University of Texas at Arlington, where he obtained his Master of Science in Nursing degree.

As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Jason works closely with our physicians in the Tyler office, caring for patients in both the clinic and hemodialysis settings.

Jason is passionate about helping patients understand their health through clear, straightforward education and believes in empowering individuals to make positive lifestyle changes that improve their overall well-being. His philosophy of “meeting people where they are” and building relationships founded on knowledge and trust makes him a valuable addition to our team.

We’re excited to share highlights from a special milestone for The Centers for Kidney Care!

On April 22, we proudly celebrated the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of our new Access Surgery Center — the Dialysis Access Surgery Center of Tyler, now located at 5609 S Donnybrook Ave, Tyler, TX 75703. This new location represents an important step forward as we continue expanding high-quality, patient-centered care for our community.

For over 25 years, The Dialysis Access Center of Tyler has proudly served the East Texas community, and this expansion allows us to continue that commitment in an even greater way.

The Dialysis Access Surgery Center is dedicated to providing specialized procedures that are essential for patients requiring dialysis. By offering these services in a focused, outpatient setting, we’re able to deliver:

We are proud to spotlight Dr. Stefanie Diaz, a valued member of our nephrology team!

A native of Brazil, Dr. Diaz earned her medical degree from Fundacao Tecnico Educacional Souza Marques in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at Finch University Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School, and her Nephrology fellowship at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Diaz is Board Certified in Nephrology and joined our practice in 1999.

Dr. Diaz is a Nephrologist in Tyler, on active staff at UT Health Tyler and CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Tyler, and has courtesy privileges at Paris Regional Medical Center. She is a member of the Smith County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association.
