🎡🎶 A Wonderful Day at the Gilmer Yamboree! 💙

Our residents had such a lovely time at the Gilmer Yamboree! From cheering along at the parade to enjoying a picnic lunch, tasty fair food, and great music, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

It was a special day filled with laughter, good food, and time spent together making wonderful memories. We’re so glad we got to enjoy it as a community! 💙✨

Family Isn’t Always Who You’re Related To. 💍

For Lisa Halbrook, Activities Director at Briarcliff Health Center, her wedding day was a celebration surrounded by people she considers family.

Lisa married Alton Lancaster at Briarcliff, with Kathy Stanley, a Briarcliff resident Lisa has known for 26 years, standing beside her as her Maid of Honor.

Lisa first met Kathy at the facility where she worked before coming to Briarcliff. When Lisa made the move, Kathy came with her. Over the years, their friendship continued to grow, becoming something that goes far beyond a workplace relationship.

And Kathy wasn’t just there for Lisa. She was always cheering her on.

She would often ask Alton, “When are you going to marry that pretty lady?” 💙

So when the wedding day finally came, it felt only right to celebrate it at Briarcliff, surrounded by the residents and team members who have become such an important part of Lisa’s life.

“I’m just happy that I’m with the people that I love and that love me.”

That’s the Heart of the Community.

Because family isn’t always the people you’re related to. Sometimes, it’s the people who have been there for you, year after year, through all the moments that matter.
