Hi, everyone! 👋 I’m Laurie, the Lead Chiropractic Assistant here at Halbrook Chiropractic & Healing Systems. 💚

One of the things I enjoy most about my role is getting to know our patients and helping each person feel comfortable and welcomed from the moment they walk through our doors. 😊 Whether I’m answering questions, assisting with appointments, or simply offering a friendly smile, I want every patient to feel cared for and supported throughout their experience with us. ✨

A few fun facts about me… 🎨 I love being creative! In my free time, you’ll often find me making handmade cards 💌 or baking 🧁. I also enjoy learning and discovering new things, so I’m always happy to take on a new project or dive into an interesting topic. 📚

Mom + chiropractor = one lucky little boy. 🥹❤️

A little glimpse of me working on Jameson today! Of course I start this video after I adjust his spine. But I opened up his bowels to help him have a bowel movement, checked for infection, and worked on his cranials and palate.

His high palate is something we’ve been working on since birth after having his tongue + lip tie corrected in his first month of life. 👅🧠✨

And of course… he decided he wanted to adjust MOM afterward. 😂❤️

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do. Chiropractic care isn’t just about back pain — it’s about supporting the body and nervous system through all stages of life, from little ones to athletes, pregnancy, and beyond. ❤️

🫀 Your heart has a story to tell… are you listening?

At Halbrook Chiropractic & Healing Systems, I use a Heart Sound Recorder to evaluate heart function in kids, athletes, pregnant moms, and adults of all ages—not just older adults.

✨ This technology analyzes the sounds of your heart valves and how efficiently your heart is functioning. It helps me gather valuable information about your overall health and determine if additional testing or support may be beneficial.

🏃‍♂️ Young athletes: I require heart sound screenings for my patients 10 years and older (around 6th grade) before they begin school sports. It’s another way to help make sure nothing important is missed.

🤰 Pregnancy: Your heart works harder during pregnancy, making it another great time to monitor how your cardiovascular system is adapting.

❤️ Sometimes the heart gives us clues that it’s time to look deeper into areas like nutrition, digestion, thyroid function, or mineral balance (including calcium and iodine). Addressing those underlying factors can often improve overall heart health.

🤝 If I find something concerning, I refer for additional testing and often co-manage patients with cardiologists. My goal is to catch potential concerns early while supporting your health from every angle.

🌟 I’m currently the only provider in East Texas offering the Heart Sound Recorder, and it’s become an incredible tool for helping my patients better understand their health.

❗ What this is NOT:
• ❌ It is not an EKG.
• ❌ It does not detect blocked arteries.
• ❌ It does not replace a cardiologist.

Instead, it’s another valuable piece of the puzzle that helps us better understand how your heart is functioning.
