***Public Service Announcement***
It has come to our attention that scammers are using our business name and address as a tactic to get deposits from people.
The victims in these scams have said they made a fb post looking for recommendations for tattoo artists. The scammers target these posts with stolen images of tattoo work and then use the name and address of a local shop to con you into setting an appointment and dropping a deposit through cashapp, paypal, or some other digital transfer method. Once you send money, they delete the profile and disappear.
First, we do not promote the studio or our work by tagging ourselves on these posts.
And second, we most asssuredly do not set appointments for 9am. My old ass aint gettin up that early regardless of how much money you have. lol.
If you are ever contacted via fb messenger by someone using the Rookhaven name, dont hesistate to message our page or contact our artists directly BEFORE sending money to anyone.
We dont solicit our work like that.
We post on the studio page and our personal pages only.
Even if we get tagged on a recommendation post, we dont pursue.
YOU have to contact us.
We are here when you are ready.
Always double check who you are sending money to. Dont be a victim. And check your privacy settings. Dont leave posts and comments open to the public. Set them to friends or friends of friends. This breaks the chain of how many people down the line can see and comment.
If you made it this far, good job. If you skipped to the bottom because TL;DR, go back to the top and start over, ya lazy bum. What else do you have to do besides doom scrolling?
Thanks for giving us a few minutes of your time.
Hopefully this helps.
El Jefe out. :)
