Getting dressed used to be automatic—
something you did without thinking.
After a brain injury, it often isn’t.
It requires decision-making, visual processing, sensory tolerance, and energy.
And sometimes, that’s simply too much.
What looks like wearing the same thing over and over
is often a way to make it through the day.
It’s not about appearance.
It’s about function.
