🎉 50 years of Belfast Co-op! 🎉

This weekend, we’re celebrating a very special milestone with the Belfast Community Co-op: 50 years of food, community, connection, and cooperation!

To celebrate, we created something brand new: Co-op Herb & Spice Soap! A wonderful blend inspired by the experience of wandering through the Co-op- herbs, spices, good food, and that unmistakable feeling of community. We can’t wait for you to smell it!

Come celebrate with us Saturday, August 22nd from 2–6pm at Steamboat Landing. The celebration is free to attend and will include live music, Co-op community stories, snacks and free samples, local vendors, games, prizes, and plenty of reasons to celebrate 50 wonderful years.

We’ll see you there- and we hope you’ll stop by to say hello and check out the new soap!

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before a bar of soap ever makes it to your shower.

Measuring oils, blending ingredients, pouring each batch by hand, cutting the bars, and giving them plenty of time to cure. Soap making is a process that takes patience, care, and a whole lot of hands-on work.

Every batch is made in small quantities, with natural ingredients, right here at Wandering Goat Soap. The goat’s milk in every bar comes from the goats here on our farm. What you see on the shelf is the very last step in a much longer process of making something thoughtfully, from scratch.

Come and find us tomorrow at the Claws ‘n Country Music Festival from 12:00–5:30 PM for an afternoon of live music, local vendors, and community fun! We’ll have a selection of our goat milk soaps, lotions, and other favorites ready for you to browse.

Supporting local events and small businesses is so important to us and we’re excited to be part of this fun-filled day. There will be food trucks, kids activities, music and other great local vendors to browse. We hope to see you there!

Raise your hand if you love blueberry season! 🙋‍♀️

Summer is in full swing and the blueberry fields here in Maine are starting to become dotted with tiny wild berries. It’s almost time to get out a few of those tried & true recipe cards, like blueberry pie or buckle, that have been passed down from one generation to the next.

Our Maine Blueberry Soap was inspired by those sun-ripened berries, slow summer mornings, and the simple joy of a season that locals look forward to every year. Made with fresh goat’s milk and Maine blueberries, it’s a little slice of Maine you can enjoy long after berry season comes and goes.

Community has always been at the heart of what we do and we are so grateful to be part of a strong community that looks out for one another. One of our favorite ways to give back is by sharing our handmade goat's milk soap with our neighbors through Come Spring Food Pantry in Union. It's a small gesture, but one that we hope brings a little comfort and care to someone's day.

We also want to say thank you to the food pantry for your kind words and for the important work you do to support our community! We're honored to be able to play a small part alongside so many generous people that help make a difference.

Our goat’s milk body lotions are made with fresh goat’s milk from our own herd, creating a rich, creamy moisturizer that leaves skin feeling soft and nourished without feeling heavy.
