🏕️🌲 Learning, Connection & Community in the Great Outdoors! 🌲🏕️
Our rural residency team recently gathered for a memorable retreat at Klamath Outdoor School, nestled along the beautiful Wood River, just down the road from Crater Lake National Park! 🌿⛰️
Beyond the camping, fresh air, and stunning surroundings, our retreat provided meaningful opportunities for learning, reflection, and strengthening our team.
📚 We were honored to learn from Perry Chocktoot, Klamath Tribal member and former Director of Culture and Heritage for the Klamath Tribes, who led an important discussion on the Klamath Termination Act of 1954. His insights provided valuable historical and cultural context, deepening our understanding of the region and the Indigenous communities we serve.
🤝 Between educational workshops, team-building activities, and time spent connecting around camp, we strengthened relationships, shared experiences, and celebrated what makes our residency community special.
At the heart of rural family medicine is a commitment to lifelong learning, collaboration, and the communities we serve. Retreats like these remind us that becoming better physicians also means becoming better teammates, listeners, and community partners. ❤️
Grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect in such a beautiful place!
