Bridges of Montana in Helena welcomes Shayla Crandell to our team. Shayla will lead our office as Regional Operations Director in service to the people we support in Helena! Shayla shares that she is very excited to be part of our team as we continue to expand across the State. Shayla is a native Montanan raised in Moore, MT and she is from a family logging operation in the Snowy Mountains. She says she often reminisces about her upbringing in the small town. Shayla attended University of Montana where she studied psychology and sociology and she has a passion for helping people reach goals that others believe may be unobtainable. She’s most proud of graduating college and buying a home, where she loves to enjoy the view overlooking Helena. Shayla also enjoys reading, photography and adventures with her children. VP Steve Boyer of Bridges’ Mountain West Region said, “Shayla is energetic and enthusiastic about serving people. She has already hit the ground running in setting up our new office in Helena and conducting community outreach. I am excited to see what we can accomplish in Helena under Shayla’s leadership”. Today is the 30th anniversary of the . The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of life. This law ensures individuals with disabilities have the same rights as everyone of all abilities.

Bridges is a rapidly growing human service agency that provides home and community based Medicaid Waiver services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in six states. Bridges of Montana is currently seeking a Regional Operations Director in Missoula, Montana. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging leader in the field of disabilities supports. With the right leader, the possibilities for growth and success in this region are unlimited! The Regional Operations Director will specialize in providing home and community based waiver services to individuals with disabilities.

This individual will be responsible for the day to day office operation in Missoula along with the implementation and management of Bridges policies, all while ensuring Bridges of Montana's goals and objectives are met for the region of responsibility.

Regional Operations Director Responsibilities:

Program Management

Confidently leads programming for clients with disabilities and meets state regulations governing services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in accordance with our business practices and in compliance with all Bridges policies.
Eager to explore new program opportunities for the organization resulting in growth of client service throughout the region.
Engages in enhancing and/or developing community resources for people with disabilities.
Ensures compliance for services delivered to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Assists with organizational audits and assures completion within required time frame.
Client Rights

Maintains the confidentiality of all client information.
Ensures that clients' best interests are met in all circumstances and programming.
Advocates for the enhancement of services for individuals with disabilities to have the ability to live, learn and work where they choose within the community.
Community and Public Relations

Establish yourself as a community leader to represent Bridges of Montana and its programs to the community in Missoula and surrounding areas.
Develop and maintain relationships with regional partners and any other organizations or institutions that contribute to the success of Bridges' ability to serve our clients.
Ensure that all staff members are representing the Bridges Mission to both the community and individuals served.
Remain aware of the political environment of both the community and State of Montana.
