Shortly after a C-section, adhesions may form between the uterus and other tissues, prohibiting the uterus from moving freely. During in*******se, the uterus should be able to move. If adhesions are present, the uterus won’t move freely, which can cause the tissues to tear and result in pain.

From the study, [Effect of massage on hemodynamics parameters of uterine artery and serum prostaglandin in treating patients with primary dysmenorrhea]. Conclusions: Massage had favorable therapeutic effect on PD. Its effect might be achieved through improving the blood circulation of uterus, adjusting the abnormal levels of PGF2a and PGE2, thus exerting pain relief effect.

Primary dysmenorrhea refers to painful menstrual cramps that occur just before or during menstruation, without any underlying medical conditions.
