I get a lot of questions about setting boundaries and saying no. Important: Remember the person you are setting the boundaries with is a co-dependent too, and may not understand. The person may feel rejected and hurt. This is the hard part.
This is one of the hardest things to learn but it comes from the gut and how you feel. If you are always saying yes and giving your time and energy away , how do YOU feel?
My boundaries are how I stay close to myself.
They’re the quiet lines that keep me steady, soft, and sane.
When I say “no,” it’s not rejection — it’s self-respect.
It’s me choosing the kind of life I can feel safe in.
Saying no or saying yes is the decision that feels best in your body.
