Looking back on a successful week for the youngsters in Dressage at Devon!

“Papillon” finished her week with a lovely test in the USEF 4 year old division securing a strong finish in the ribbons!

Patronaum De L’Aube laid down an impressive test to take the 2nd place spot in the FEI 5 year old Final test!

Both horses were true professionals in a very impressive atmosphere! Thank you to everyone who helped make this all possible!

Thank you Bethany P Photography for capturing these amazing photos!

This is why we gather. For them. 💚

Every week at Wheatland Equestrian, something extraordinary happens between a horse and a rider. Sometimes it looks like a first independent ride. Sometimes it is a child finding confidence where there was once uncertainty. Sometimes it is a rider discovering strength, independence and a sense of belonging. And sometimes, it is simply the unmistakable joy of being on a horse. 🐴 On October 17, we will gather at Belle Grey Farm for our 2026 Gala Dinner — An Irish Welcome — to celebrate these riders, these horses, and the community that makes their journeys possible. The Gala is a beautiful evening, but its purpose is even more beautiful: helping Wheatland continue providing inclusive equestrian opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. So, we invite you to join us!
We would love to welcome you to Belle Grey Farm.

Pippa watches wistfully as Elmo, Chip and Freddie leave for the meet this morning next door at Newstead Farm. No, Pips, you can’t go. You are only four, you are 18hh, and you are a dressage horse 😂❤️

🐴📚 It’s back to work this week at Wheatland Equestrian! We have a busy and exciting week ahead as we welcome our riders back to lessons and kick off a brand-new riding school year! Our horses and ponies are heading back to work, we host another Dressage & Jumper Schooling Show on Thursday, and we’re looking forward to welcoming Dr. Ashley Ellis of Loudoun County Public Schools for a visit and tour of Wheatland. We’re also thrilled to have fabulous new woodland riding trails officially open, thanks to the work of the staff of the Piedmont Fox Hounds, giving our riders even more opportunities to enjoy the farm beyond the arena. 🌳🐎There’s lots happening, lots to look forward to, and we’re so happy to have our Wheatland families back at the barn. New riding school year, here we come!💚🐴
