What if your appointment didn’t end just when we were getting to the important part?

If you’ve ever left a medical appointment thinking, “I didn’t even get to ask half my questions,” this is for you.

Your health is more than a single symptom, one lab result, or a five-minute conversation.

Sometimes we need time to explore:
🌿 The timeline of your symptoms and what changed along the way
🌿 How your gut, hormones, energy, sleep, and stress may overlap
🌿 Your health history and the context behind your lab results
🌿 Which next steps make sense for YOU, rather than following a generic checklist

That’s why we value longer, individualized appointments at Radix.
Not because every concern requires an hour of testing or a cabinet full of supplements, but because thoughtful care deserves room for questions, clinical reasoning, and a plan you understand.

You shouldn’t have to choose between being heard and getting through the appointment on time.

Have you been looking for a doctor that will invest in figuring out your health with you?

Someone who looks beyond “your labs are normal,” connects the dots between your symptoms, and wants to understand the why behind how you’re feeling?

You might be in the right place.

I work with people who are tired of guessing, tired of chasing symptoms, and ready to take a deeper look at their health.

✨ Fatigue that just won’t quit
✨ Hormones that feel all over the place
✨ Gut issues that keep coming back
✨ Thyroid concerns and confusing lab results
✨ Fertility, metabolic health, and environmental exposures
✨ That feeling that something is off, even when you’re told everything looks fine

My approach combines functional and conventional lab work, nutrition, lifestyle, and individualized support to help uncover patterns and build a plan that makes sense for you.

You don’t need another random supplement recommendation or prescription. You need someone willing to look at the bigger picture with you.

Taking an antibiotic? A few simple ways to support your gut.

Antibiotics can be incredibly important when they’re needed, but they can also temporarily alter the gut microbiome.

While taking them, consider:
→ Probiotics: Certain strains may help reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea. If you use one, taking it a few hours away from your antibiotic is a practical approach.
→ Fiber-rich foods: Feed your existing gut microbes with vegetables, fruit, beans, lentils, oats, whole grains, nuts and seeds.
→ Fermented foods: Yogurt with live cultures, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi and other fermented foods can provide beneficial microorganisms if tolerated.
→ Hydration + adequate nutrition: Especially important if you’re experiencing diarrhea, decreased appetite or are recovering from an illness.

And after the antibiotic, focus on continued probiotic use, food variety, fiber, fermented foods, hydration and regular nourishing meals while your microbiome recovers.

Your microbiome is resilient. Support it with the basics.

The CDC recently released a report highlighting something important: invasive mold infections may be more common and more severe than previously recognized.

The report focused on invasive fungal infections but reinforces an important point: Fungi and environmental exposures deserve thoughtful evaluation.

Invasive fungal infections are not what most people experience after mold exposure. These infections are typically seen in higher-risk individuals, such as those with significant immune compromise.

However, in clinical practice, I often see patients where environmental exposures are one piece of a much larger puzzle.

Symptoms related to environmental exposures can be complex and may overlap with many other conditions:
• Fatigue
• Brain fog
• Sleep disruption
• Sinus symptoms
• Headaches
• Changes in immune response
• Increased sensitivity to triggers

The goal is not to blame every symptom on mold.
The goal is to ask better questions:
▪️What exposures have occurred?
▪️How is the immune system responding?
▪️What factors are affecting resilience and recovery?
▪️What systems need support?

Your environment is part of your health story.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your home, workplace, or past water damage could be contributing to your symptoms, this is an important conversation to have.

Save this post and share it with someone who has been searching for answers.

Waking up around 2–3 AM every night? It might be more than “just stress.”

• Blood sugar dips can trigger a surge of stress hormones that wake you up.
• An overactive stress response related to cortisol can make it hard to stay asleep.
• Alcohol, late meals, caffeine, medications, and other lifestyle factors can all play a role.

Sleep isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither are the solutions. Let’s see what we can dive into together.

Symptoms are your body’s way of communicating, not just something to ignore.

A headache, fatigue, bloating, or painful periods can have many different underlying contributors. While two people may have the same symptom, the reason behind it may be completely different.

That’s why I focus on finding the “why” instead of simply covering up symptoms whenever possible.

Root cause medicine doesn’t mean there’s always one single answer. It means taking the time to understand the whole picture and addressing the factors that may be contributing to how you feel.

Which symptom have you been trying to get to the bottom of? Let’s figure it out together.

Wildfire smoke affects more than just your lungs. Even on days when the smoke doesn’t seem severe, tiny particles can impact your respiratory, cardiovascular, and overall health.

Save this guide so you know what to do when air quality worsens, and share it with someone who lives in wildfire-prone areas. It could help protect their family this season.

If you’re looking for personalized, root-cause focused support for your health, I’d love to help. Schedule your whole-health naturopathic appointment at www.radixintegrative.com
