A stroke (left temporal lobe infarction) after brain tumor removal surgery was not on any of our bingo cards, especially Katarina’s.

This woman—still my baby at 32—is strong and determined. Yet being patient and trusting the healing process after a stroke is hard for her. She misses her babies so much and longs to be home with them. She’s ready to do the work, but rushing the process can lead to setbacks, and no one wants that.

We know she will be good as new, even better than before, and we look forward to that day with hard work and patience. Please continue to pray for Katarina’s journey, and for her husband Josh and their three children.

If you want to help them in some capacity, their are two ways:

1-A meal train has been started so you can sign up to provide a meal or meals to them when she returns home. If you aren't able to take a meal to them, you can donate a dollar amount to help with meals. **Message me for the link.

🛑 PSA

This image perfectly captures what frustrates me about this industry: the prevalence of false advertising designed to sell products. The internet and social media have amplified this phenomenon to alarming levels.

I have no doubt this is a very nice product, but it is not an honest or accurate before-and-after. The sun damage shown on the back of this woman is an issue that can be addressed by a dermatologist and/or an aesthetition.

The skin is showing solar lentigines (brown spots, freckles, or age spots) and possibly actinic keratoses (pre-cancerous patches).

The ingredients listed on the deck are impressive, but they will not reduce these spots as depicted in the photo.

While structural damage cannot be fully reversed, treating this level of sun damage typically requires:
🧴Retinoids (retinoic acid) to promote cell turnover
🧴Vitamin C serum to brighten dark spots
🔦 Laser treatments or chemical peels to target pigmentation and texture issues

If a client presents with this level of sun damage, my first step would be to refer them to a dermatologist.⚕️ If actinic-related lesions are present, medical evaluation is essential.

🚦🛑Don’t fall for sensational online claims. Read product ingredients carefully, and consult a dermatologist, primary care physician, or an aesthetician about specific products, ingredients, and expected results.

💚Met and connected with amazing estheticians from all over GA and other states.

📚Thoroughly enjoyed these two ladies! and
Jen and Lu did an amazing job sharing all their knowledge.
It was a great refresher for me but I also learned new things!
