In the lab of Professor Chandra Shekhar Bakshi, D.V.M., Ph.D., graduate students have the opportunity to research how the bacterium Francisella tularensis subverts the immune system.

As a master's student on the research thesis track, you have the chance to carry-out experiments and assays related to core biomedical science principles, like Western blotting.

In this post, you can see the general set-up of the biosafety hood and the progression of experimental treatment to incubation and bacterial colony formation.
