Barefoot at home? Your feet get the deciding vote.

If you’re comfortable and pain-free, there’s usually no reason to overthink it. But if your feet start aching, supportive house shoes, sandals, or slippers with inserts can help reduce the strain.

The goal isn’t to wear shoes every minute. It’s to listen when your feet tell you they need more support.

Are you team barefoot or team house shoes?

Cracked heels may keep coming back, but the pain doesn’t have to.

Once the thick callus is safely reduced, the right home-care routine can make a big difference. A therapeutic foot soak combined with a urea-based cream can help soften the skin and slow down callus buildup.

The real game changer? Staying consistent before those deep, painful cracks return.

One more note... callus removal should always be performed by a professional, especially if you have diabetes, neuropathy, or circulation concerns.

Cracked heels aren’t always “just dry skin.”

The way you walk, the shoes you wear, your inserts, even your genetics, can all contribute to callus buildup. When that callus becomes too thick and dry, painful cracks can develop.

The key is treating the dry skin while also addressing what’s causing the callus in the first place.

Great patient care doesn’t start when I walk into the exam room.

It starts the moment you walk through our doors.

Our front desk team works hard to make every patient feel welcomed, heard, and cared for—because those little moments matter.

They may not always get the spotlight, but they deserve it. 💚

A little behind-the-scenes look at our morning huddle.

I remind our team often that creating a great patient experience isn’t just one person’s job. It’s everyone’s, and it’s something we work on every single day. 💚

We take foot care seriously. Ourselves? Not always. 😅

We believe the best care starts with making people feel comfortable. That means listening, laughing, and actually getting to know the person attached to the feet.

We wouldn’t have it any other way. 👣💚

Here’s my favorite piece of DIY medical equipment:

🪞 A little mirror.

Seriously.

If you have diabetes or neuropathy, use it to check the bottoms of your feet every day.
It might help you catch a wound before it becomes a disaster... and could even save your foot.

Think your feet hurt because you need more cushion?

Probably not.

I break down the 4 main types of orthotics and give my very honest rankings at the end. 😅

If you’re not sure which one is right for you, give us a call or schedule an appointment through the link in my bio.
