This topic of breast health is sometimes contentious with people sitting on both sides of the fence…..conventional and holistic. But, one thing I think we can agree on is you and I have the ability to treat our bodies well to help in the prevention process. We all know there are a lot of factors involved when someone brings up breast cancer, but do we also know there are well studied and researched activities and modalities that support prevention. Here’s the short list (and maybe some that are new to you):
•if you have root canals research their correlation to breast cancer
•do strength training/move your body
•nourish your body with whole foods
•get outside
•address trauma in your life
•remove toxins from your home/life (i.e. household, skincare, synthetic fragrances)
•research birth control and breast cancer
•get good sleep
•attend to your metabolic health
•be your best advocate
•be intentional in your imaging
And, remember, you know your body better than anyone else. Listen to it. Know when it’s off. And, treat it well.
I just listened to an outstanding podcast episode with Dr. Josh Axe, and he covers some of the natural ways we can support our bodies. Comment LINK if you’d like to hear it!🌿
