Throwback to My First Studio: “The Closet”

Nine and a half years ago, I moved into my very first, non-commissioned, monthly rent-paid studio—affectionately dubbed “THE CLOSET.” It was small and cramped, but it was mine. I painted the walls, cleaned the carpets, and decorated it to make it feel just right. There was a little sink in the corner and a large picture window that opened up to the sky. It wasn’t much, but it represented so much: my hard work, dedication, and the freedom I had been seeking from corporate spaces and box gyms.

This humble space was the beginning of my journey toward building a career I’m proud of. It laid the foundation for the solid, effective, and dependable service I provide today, regardless of the size or location of my workspace.
A few days ago, I had the pleasure of seeing a client who dates back to my corporate massage days. They reminded me that they had visited “THE CLOSET” back in the day. Sharing a laugh about that tiny room was one of the biggest compliments I could receive—right next to a referral, of course.

To all my clients, especially those who’ve been with me since the beginning: thank you for your trust and support. I appreciate you all for allowing me to be a part of your wellness journey.
