Cosmetologist, Estheticians, Doctors and a lot of other professional services who work with the body and potentially body fluids require many hours of training and hands on experience . This is to assure client safety and satisfaction. Each state legislation is different but its usually months and or years of schooling along with hands-on training. Now unfortunately many states in the US do not require any training for microblading. WHAT! ???!!! Yes you heard right. The microblading and cosmetic tattoo industry is not as highly regulated . It is usually done by state or county and it is a basic inspection or questionnaire. Now this isn’t everywhere and it is getting better but its most places.
This means in some states someone can take a weekend or even a day online course pay some fees and start working with blood born pathogens and permanent artistry on your face. Scary stuff right!
