Healing Expressions

Summer days have been inviting a growing space for hopeful imaginings here around our sweet plot of earth! Flowers are blooming, and the garden is showing signs of our little bounty to come. Our projects continue as we prepare a place for our family, Healing Expressions activities and restful soul care. So much is growing and vision expanding. I am resting into letting things evolve in their right timing, taking it slow, being patient and present, and enjoying the process.

My creativity currently is showing up in partnering with my husband to help with finishing work. Excited for our firepit pour which should be happening soon. Hopefully an outdoor evening fire with s'mores is in our future. Have also been enjoying meaningful times visiting and supporting lifelong friends and enjoying their stunning gardens and hospitality. Sharing a few remembrances from the month of May! Ushered in my husband‘s 65th year, enjoyed the creative expression of preparing a teatime shower with my dear friend for her daughter, progress on some spaces for our retreat dreams here at the property, and joining my husband in his gift for garden artistry! I can feel grief finding its way through my heart and making room for hope and fresh imaginings. Being outdoors, the sun, the warmth and breathing in nature has reminded me that…amidst life, work, and the heaviness that just being a human in our world can bring… taking loving care of our hearts is non-negotiable.

Sometimes it is so tempting to tap out, to scroll, to numb, to react, to avoid, to cope in less life-giving ways… but dear one I hope you listen to and answer the nudging that calls you to what will ultimately bring life to your soul. It is ok to step away, to set our swords down, to gently take the world off our shoulders, to make what you need a priority. It is worth the sacrifice, the struggle and the making space for. Take really good care of you❤️

Soaking in the blue sky, and the breeze gently moving through the trees today. Had some meaningful space and time with music and art in the studio today. I was reflecting about the patterns I observe while walking others through healing childhood trauma. For many clients, the young version of themselves has been compartmentalized away. There is a gentle re-introduction that takes place over time. Watching the young part integrate with the adult, that has moved in the world, is a beautiful experience. United, cared for and walking together, opens a new path for many survivors. Worked on this healing story box today which you may in my Etsy store (link in comments)!💕🌸🌷

A few moments in time. Working slowly, but surely on different parts of our home and property, in hopes of providing spaces for folks to rest and heal. As the seasons begin to shift, so do the views and the hopes of our dreams here. Being present within, processing our own personal changes and shifts seem to prepare each room and each space. The work I do with my own clients, remind my own heart that I want to prepare spaces that I am myself have traveled. Sometimes hard things happen. I want to share a space where being present with the now, while also holding the struggles and pain of the past, can happen . Although I can never predict where the road will lead us, I can just vulnerably share what my hopes are for today. If this place can be a rest stop for those who need a place to breathe, that is my deepest desire. For now I’m enjoying finding “new to us” (yay marketplace) unique pieces to add to the space. I can’t say I know for sure when it will all happen. My deepest intuition is that it is in the process and on the way.

The chimes that bring music when the breezes shift on our deck, are a reminder of the processing of grief and those we have lost along the way. My mother loved chimes. I am still pondering the mysteries of the grief of losing my own mother, and most recently her brother, who was a treasured Uncle. I share this for those who follow my page to know that I am also human. I long to create art and move in the world in inspiring ways. I must rest and balance, all that my heart desires to do. There are many in my own family and precious grandbabes that I am honoring with priority these days. I so value all of you who have followed my journey, so just letting you know that I care, and I am going through life as many of you do. All we can do is day by day and moment by moment. Take care, precious ones and I hope you can honor where you are in your own story and journey.

There’s something always inspiring about moving furniture around a little bit. Beginning to re-imagine the art studio and set up for future workshops. Caught a stunning rainbow on my daily country drive. Just minutes before it appeared I could hardly see as it downpoured. Such a meaningful reminder of hope and goodness, no matter when the colors paint the sky and unexpectantly grace your path. Sunsets and the tender gaze of the deer that have made our place home are simple daily gifts. Letting myself take time for imaginings to take root and grow. Things always seem to have their right timing.
