I recently took some portrait photos of .p.rose (wearing some amazing pants from ) and just had to share a few of them!!!
This was my first official photoshoot since switching my entire camera set up from Sony to Olympus/OM and I absolutely love it. The switch was everything I wanted. My Sony was capable of absolute perfection and while I thought it was cool and incredibly adaptable, I wasn’t having much fun creatively. The camera I have now has an itty bitty sensor (the part that captures light and turns it into an image!) and so I have to be more intentional. Plus I only have a single prime lens. No zooming, no eye autofocus, and I can turn the screen off and just capture some candids in the moment. I love photography because I love to create - so let this be a reminder that if you aren’t flowing with your tools, it’s okay to try something different. It might be exactly what you’re looking for 💗📸

Absolutely 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 you to go see this piece healed on in her latest post 😍😍 Stomach tattoos are such a wonderful honor to do. When I got my stomach tattooed in 2021, I remember laying so still on the table, careful not to breathe in too deep due to the pain. We took a break halfway through and I looked at the lines in the mirror, my stretch marks glossy, puffy, and red, and felt love and excitement just sweep away the pain. I knew that day that I’d never have a mean thought about my beautiful tummy ever again, and that has only become more true as I lean in to fat liberation. All bellies are perfect, (and perfectly tattooable) and I’m honored every time someone desires my artwork in such a special place. Thank you for the trust, always 💗

I am growing more in love with myself by the year, and as I’m preparing to turn 27 at the start of next week I am taking a look around at what I’ve surrounded myself with. Good friends, good times, a love for learning and doing my best, late nights creating art and laughing with my best friend , arms always out with love and support and sending out what I want to flourish in the world.
Thank you so much to you all, because the support I get sharing my artwork and photography makes me so incredibly joyful. Creating breathes life into me and I am grateful a million times over that it gets to be my life’s work. 💗
And the biggest thank you to for giving me the opportunity to learn Spanish on scholarship. I never imagined my life would hold cultural connection. I felt like I’d missed the boat and the void would always exist. But each week learning something new, writing in my journal in Spanish, understanding the poetry and words of Latine artists I dream of being like- it all is becoming my reality. Gracias, de mi corazón 🫶🏽🎉

Have you made art today? Making time for something soothing and creative is important, don’t put it off💗 here are a few simple, quick ideas to inspire you today:
•You can only take 10 photos today (no retakes!) what will you use them on?
•Use a sticker you’ve been saving
•Write your name in different fonts
•Press a flower or leaf you find between the pages of a book (I like to use wax paper between the pages to protect them!)
•Follow an origami tutorial
