TOPSoccer is a community-based program for young athletes with disabilities run by youth soccer association volunteers. Our volunteers are students at our local schools, players from our local soccer clubs, coaches, and community members. Our program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl who has a cognitive, intellectual or physical disability. We h

ave players with ASD (Autism), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorder, and a wide variety of other disabilities. The goal of our program is to support young athletes with disabilities as they become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family. We use tradition soccer drills, playground games adapted for soccer, small sided games, and other fun activities. The goal is for each player to be involved with soccer in whatever way is best for them.

Tom Tate, our Washington Youth Soccer TOPSoccer State Chair, was honored at the Seattle Sounders match at halftime last weekend.
Tom was honored for his 18 years of community service with TOPSoccer.
