Karin is happy to report that she has joined "the herd" and had her first Covid-19 vaccine on Monday! One day of arm pain and no other side-effects of the vaccine to report.
Feeling grateful for all those working tirelessly to get us all vaccinated.

Seasons Greetings,

With the rise in COVID-19 cases on the island I have decided to temporarily suspend my massage practice, at least until the New Year. I am taking this precaution to protect myself and my clients during the holiday season when people are more likely to be in close contact with others. It is my hope that I will be back to doing what I love soon.

Wishing You a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

As Thanksgiving approaches, we at Becalm are so grateful for the good health of our family, friends and community here on Vashon. We've been thinking of ways to continue to practice safely as the numbers of Covid-19 have been rapidly increasing here in the past week.

We have each made the decision not to gather for Thanksgiving with members outside of our household so that we can continue to do the work that we love. We will also be asking any of our clients who are traveling or spending the holiday with members outside of their household to please postpone your visit to Becalm for two weeks. Together we can work to keep everybody safe!

I once heard an acupuncturist call Americans YANGkeys because we're so Yang. Yang being activity, movement, doing, gettin' er done. Now we are being called on to be YINkeys, to be inactive, introspective, and restful. This is proving to be a real challenge but one that can bring us great balance if we allow it.
