You can have the “perfect” fasting window and still be missing everything your metabolism actually needs.

Enough protein.
Enough fiber.
Enough total food.
Stable blood sugar.
Strength training.
Sleep.
Stress support.

This was the shift that finally changed things for me.

I stopped treating a longer fast as the ultimate goal and started rebuilding the metabolic foundations that had been eroded by stress, mold, restriction, hormonal changes, and years of pushing harder.

Within just a couple months, the weight finally moved and my hormones had returned to where I wanted them.

If you want the full foundation, comment IGNITE and I’ll send you my complete metabolism-reset program for women over 35.

Intermittent fasting isn’t automatically healthy simply because you managed to go 16 hours without food.

Your body responds according to the amount of stress it’s already carrying and whether you’re actually meeting its needs during your eating window.

If you’re sleeping poorly, training hard, navigating perimenopause, under-eating, struggling with unstable blood sugar, or living under relentless stress, a daily 16-hour fast may become one more demand your body has to compensate for.

And because a short eating window often turns three meals into two, you may also be missing the protein, fiber, carbohydrates, and total energy you need to preserve muscle and keep your metabolism working well.

Save this post and send it to the friend who keeps saying, “Maybe I just need to fast longer.”

Then comment FASTING and I’ll send you Friday’s full article.

I need to make this VERY clear:

I never recommend a GLP-1 to a client who hasn’t built her foundations first.

That applies to standard dosing and microdosing.

If you’re already skipping meals, undereating, struggling with constipation, neglecting protein or avoiding regular strength training, a GLP-1 may push you further into depletion.

I see it every day with clients that come to me AFTER they tried a GLP (which they did BEFORE their body was ready).

The women I consider GLP-1s for have already done the work.

They eat complete meals. They prioritize protein and fiber. They lift heavy weights. They support their digestion. They are pooping every day. They rest and recover.

AND they might still dealing with metabolic resistance, inflammation, food noise or visceral belly fat that refuses to shift.

That’s when a GLP-1 may offer useful leverage.

I shared my complete approach, every tirzepatide dose I tried and how I found my personal sweet spot in this week’s Substack.

GLP-1s may be the gateway drug to the peptide world. 😂

They’re dominating the conversation right now, but peptides can go far beyond appetite and weight loss.

We’re talking about support for:

✨ Metabolism and body composition
✨ Inflammation and tissue repair
✨ Muscle, strength and recovery
✨ Energy and mitochondrial health
✨ Sleep, mood and libido
✨ Skin, hair and healthy aging

It’s one of the most exciting areas of functional medicine I’ve explored in years.

And it’s also incredibly confusing.

The peptide space is evolving quickly, the information is conflicting, and your Instagram feed probably isn’t the best place to decide what you should put into your body. (And I say this with full self-awareness)

So I did the deep dive for you.

I became certified as a Peptide Integration Specialist and distilled the most important information into Holistic Peptides for Women 35+, a masterclass designed to help you understand what’s available and which options may align best with your goals.

I also talk about safe sourcing, safe guidance, and safe usage so you’re not buying grey market god-knows-what off of some random affiliate link.

Semaglutide and tirzepatide get lumped into the same conversation, but they are not identical drugs.

The published research matters. But so do the patterns clinicians and patients are observing in real life, especially when the goal extends beyond losing as much weight as possible.

I broke down the clinical differences, functional observations and the reasons I personally choose tirzepatide in my practice in my newest Substack.

I used to judge women for taking GLP-1s.
There. I said it.

Then I became my own microdosed tirzepatide case study, and the experience challenged almost everything I believed.

In my newest Substack, I’m sharing what changed my mind, what happened at every dose, the benefits I never expected and the tiny increase that made me feel absolutely awful.

If you’re taking a GLP-1, or even thinking about it, this is the information I would want before putting anything into my body.
