In case you’ve been wondering what I’ve been up to this past year…
What started as volunteering quietly turned into some of the most meaningful work of my career. 🙌
I’ve had the honor of using my naturopathic medical skill set to support first responders—first acutely, in the aftermath of the Palisades and Eaton fires, helping with smoke inhalation damage and the intense physical and emotional stress of firefighting.
Over the course of this work, we provided more than 4,000 treatments and served over 2,000 first responders. And used A LOT of glutathione.
That work then evolved into joining the medical team for 12-week Firefighter Detox pilot, Funded by a grant from which has been incredibly fulfilling professionally.
Firefighters face a significantly increased risk of cancer due to the toxic chemicals they’re exposed to on the job. In this program, we’re running total toxic burden panels before, during, and after treatment. Most firefighters start with a heavy toxin burden and we’re seeing significant reductions. The program uses specific detox supplements, treatments and practices. Truly naturopathic with incredible results.
It’s been a true joy working with the Pasadena cohort and Captain Marquez. I highly encourage you to support IHAN by volunteering and, if you’re able, consider donating to this meaningful organization that is making a real difference. Link in bio!!
