Itโs pretty amazing to watch what God can do through your obedience.
It also amazes me daily that He gave us a whole book as a guideline for life.
People spend their entire lives searching for purpose and meaning and not finding it because the answer is so simple: it can only be found in Jesus.
I spent 38 years fighting for my way before I surrendered. It took me almost 4 decades to realize that my way simply doesnโt work. It took a marriage (that lead to divorce), being a homeowner (and selling for a loss), making $34k/month in a business I started from scratch (and losing it all because I couldnโt hold that amount of responsibility and success). Plus countless years of looking for joy in sin, and filling the void with substances, entertainment, adrenaline, and false religions only to be left with a deeper emptiness and pain than I thought possible.
The world tells you to follow your heart.
But God says:
โThe human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked.โ - Jeremiahโฌ โญ17โฌ:โญ9โฌ
And so wisdom says:
โTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.โ - Proverbs 3:5
Without God, I would have perished.
But with God, I am filled with joy, and my life is blessed beyond measure. He restores all. His mercy is endless.
โI will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eatenโ - Joel 2:25
