Her lips at the follow-up — She came back and said — "go bigger!"

At this patient's two-week check, we decided to go a little bigger and refine a few things in the shape. The projection is looking exactly how we planned, and her border is coming in beautifully...but there's more to come.

The Swedish Lips technique is all about getting the lip to show first rather than lie flat. We placed filler in the posterior compartment to roll the lip out and down, creating visible fullness and a defined border without any forward projection. Injecting the anterior compartment gives hydration and softness. Our follow-up was focused on refining that anterior compartment.

Results like this take more than one appointment to get exactly right. Final results coming soon.

My philosophy on aging is probably different than what you might expect from someone in my profession.

I’m not interested in helping you look younger.

I’m interested in helping you look like yourself — healthy, confident, vibrant, and recognizable.

Because aging isn’t the enemy. Feeling disconnected from yourself is.

When someone tells me, “I don’t feel like I look how I feel anymore,” that’s the conversation that matters.

And while aesthetics can absolutely help someone feel more confident, it can never be the whole conversation. We also have to talk about stress, sleep, hormones, health, and the nervous system. How you feel matters just as much as how you look.

Anyone can make you look different.

The skill is making you look better while still looking completely and undeniably like yourself.

That’s the goal.

That’s what we do at Flora. ✨

“My smile looks different... but I only got crow’s feet Botox?”

This is one of the most common concerns I hear after treatment - and most of the time, nothing was injected anywhere near your mouth.

Here’s the anatomy behind it:

The muscle around your eye (orbicularis oculi) isn’t just up by your temples - the outer portion actually sits lower on the face. When you smile, it activates. That’s partly what creates crow’s feet.

So if we over-treat that area, we can weaken a muscle that contributes to your natural smile - leading to a result that feels tight, flat, or pulled sideways.

Good Botox isn’t about chasing every wrinkle. It’s about knowing which ones to leave alone.

Sometimes a few smile lines are exactly what keeps your smile looking like you.

Unpopular opinions from your aesthetic injectors:

In: subtle enhancements, healthy skin, treatments that look like YOU.
Out: overdone trends and doing something just because it's viral.

We said what we said! What is your least and most favorite aesthetic treatment?

Not every forehead should be treated with Botox — and this is why.

If your lines are worst at the outer corners of your brow, your frontalis muscle is probably working overtime just to keep your brows up. Treat it too aggressively and you’ll end up feeling heavy and tired instead of refreshed.

For some people, bangs or a surgical brow lift actually make more sense than chasing a Botox sweet spot that’s really hard to land.

Come in if this sounds familiar. Link in bio to book.

You came in asking about hair loss. In my head, 50 questions just went off like a fire alarm. 🔍
And the truth? I’m not asking from a textbook. I’ve struggled with hair loss on and off my entire adult life. I’ve investigated just about every cause and chased just about every treatment — so these questions aren’t clinical curiosity. They’re personal.
Here’s what I’ve learned living it and treating it: hair loss isn’t a diagnosis. It’s a symptom. The same thinning ponytail can come from ten completely different places — low ferritin, a stressful event 3 months ago, postpartum shifts, perimenopause, a new GLP-1, thyroid, the way you’re styling the hair you still have.
That’s exactly why “just take this supplement” or “try this one treatment” so often fails. If you don’t find the why, you’re treating blind. I know — because I had to find mine.
If your part is widening, your ponytail’s shrinking, or you’re seeing more in the shower than you’d like — that’s worth a real conversation, not a guess.
💬 Comment HAIR and I’ll share more of my story — what I investigated, and the treatment that’s worked best for me.
📌 Save this for the friend who’s been blaming her shampoo.

The Swedish Lip — why her bottom lip changed the most.
Swipe and look at the lower lip. Most filler sits in front of the muscle and pushes the lip forward, that's how you get projection that reads "done."

I went behind it. Placing product in the posterior compartment, behind the orbicularis muscle, rolls the lower lip out and down so you get more natural lip show, a defined border, and real shape instead of just volume. It's a riskier placement and it takes a real understanding of lip anatomy to do safely. But done right? This. Fuller, balanced, and still completely her.

About longevity (slide 3), there's no fixed schedule. The more conservative we go, the more often we refresh - the more we build, the longer it holds. Some of my patients come every 6–12 months, some go 3 years. Your plan, your pace.

This is the difference between injecting filler and actually planning a lip.
Save this for when you're ready to talk lips. Book a consult through the link in our bio. 🤍

Here’s a peek into our patient’s lip journey! We focused on subtle enhancements: defining her natural shape and adding a touch of fullness for a soft, youthful result. Remember, initial swelling is normal, her lips will settle beautifully over 5–7 days. The goal? Natural lips that make people think, "Oh, she has nice lips!"
