Monday night was an absolute whirlwind for our team! 🌪️🚑

Between 18:08 and 18:24, we were dispatched to three separate calls back-to-back: two traumatic injuries and one medical emergency. At the exact same time, we were hosting our Medical Director, Dr. Matthew Letizia, for a tour of Station 1, a look at our ambulances and a specialized training session! 🚨

Here is how our amazing crews divided and conquered:
🚁 Our Duty Crew successfully handled a medevac for a traumatic fall patient.
🐕 Our First Responders assessed a dog bite victim and provided care until an ambulance arrived. Thankfully, the injuries were minor and did not require immediate emergency transport.
🩺 Our Third Crew stepped up right away to transport the medical emergency patient.

By 19:00, the rest of our members arrived at the building just in time for our Lightning Strike Injuries class. It was highly informative, engaging, and a lot of fun! ⚡️📚

A massive thank you to all of our dedicated members and the incredible agencies who assisted with tonight’s operations and training. We couldn't do it without you! 🙌

We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, coworkers, and loved ones of EMT Jonathan Kressman as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.

Those who had the privilege of working alongside Jonathan describe him as a dedicated EMT who truly loved his job and loved caring for his patients. He made a lasting, positive impact on the community and had a way of lighting up any room he walked into.

Jonathan was the kind of provider you were grateful to see arrive on scene, knowing without a doubt that your patient was in great hands.

Rest easy, Jonathan. Your service, compassion, and dedication will never be forgotten.

☀️ A Fantastic Day at Vernon Day! 🚑
Vernon EMS had an incredible time attending Vernon Day! While our dedicated duty crew stayed on the move taking calls throughout town, we had an awesome team staged right at the event to hang out with the community and keep everyone safe.

We were so grateful for the opportunity to support our town alongside our local fire departments. We had some serious fun in the sun with our beanbag toss, "fishing for ducks" games, and an epic tug-of-war match with the junior members of the McAfee Fire Department! 🎯💪

From emergency calls to trail training and supporting our veterans—our members were everywhere this weekend! 🙌🚑

While our duty crew was on standby responding to four separate calls, our training and community outreach teams were hitting the ground running.

On the trails: Our members were out in the woods tackling a UTV Course! A massive thank you to Mountain Creek for letting us use their trail system and to OffRoad Consulting for the top-notch instruction. This training ensures our team can confidently operate our two UTVs during rugged trail rescues, structure fires, and special events. 🌲

In the community: We were incredibly honored to have two of our members attend the Veterans BBQ at the Wallkill Wildlife Refuge. It was a privilege to spend time with and celebrate our local heroes. 🇺🇸❤️

It takes a village to keep things running smoothly, and we are so proud of our members for stepping up. Please help us thank this weekend's crew! 👇
