Meet Don!

Today's sponsored resident for our Walk to End Alzheimer's fundraiser is Don R., sponsored by Jillian A.

Don spent his career as a Professor of Mathematics, sharing his knowledge and passion for learning with others. Outside of the classroom, he also dedicated his time to giving back, volunteering through his church to help individuals experiencing homelessness in Fort Worth, Texas.

Those who know Don know him as a kind, true gentleman who almost always has a smile on his face. He also has a special love for New York City—especially Broadway! Music and art of all kinds hold a special place in Don's heart, and he appreciates the creativity and stories they bring to life.

Residents like Don remind us that behind every person is a lifetime of passions, accomplishments, kindness, and memories worth celebrating. By supporting the Alzheimer's Association, we're helping advance research, provide care and support, and bring hope to millions of families affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias.

Meet Jeff!

Today's sponsored resident for our Walk to End Alzheimer's fundraiser is Jeff F., sponsored by Deryl S.

Jeff dedicated his career to serving others through the Madison Police Department, where he eventually retired as a Captain. His commitment to helping people didn't stop there—Jeff also spent more than 50 years on ski patrol at Devil's Head, an incredible milestone that speaks to his dedication and love of staying active.

Jeff is also known for bringing a little music wherever he goes. Ask him how he's doing in the hallway and there's a good chance he'll immediately start singing, "I feel good!" Music is a big part of who Jeff is, with favorites including John Denver and Neil Diamond.

Residents like Jeff remind us how much personality, passion, and life experience live within our community. By supporting the Alzheimer's Association, we're helping advance research, provide care and support, and bring hope to millions of families affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias.

A dream come true for Bill!

Bill celebrated his 90th birthday in the best way - surrounded by the people and places that mean the most to him. He spent the day visiting his old house and neighborhood before heading to his favorite bar to watch the Brewers game with his family. Friends and family even flew and drove in from out of town to be there!

The night was filled with plenty of laughs, old stories and great memories. We’re so happy we could help make Bill’s 90th birthday one to remember. Happy 90th, Bill! ⚾
