Today is the first Poppins Parenting Circle Meet Up! Here's the location: Bump2BabyDoulaServices practice (look for logo below on door and come on in!)
951 KImball Lane #124 Verona, WI - 10 am
*Bring a blanket to put on the floor for your kiddo, a few toys if you need them, a hot beverage for you in a cup with a lid (although I do have bottled water and a keurig available). I have a changing table with supplies and carry N and Size 1 Millie Moons and wipes so don't worry about all that.
This will be super relaxed. Be comfy. Expect to just chill and chat and get aquainted with some new friends!

**Next Month: Date will be moved to OCTOBER 17th (Doula Rhonda is on vacation Oct 1-15) and we are hoping to go as a group to a local PUMPKIN PATCH! Woot! More info to come. Keep your eyes out for the next Poppins Post-September edition!

My oldest sister recommended having a doula for my first baby, and I found Rhonda. My husband and I both do not have much maternal support and family readily nearby. We are so happy to have had Rhonda as support because she gave a lot of resources and education for pelvic floor therapist, lactation, vaginal birth, cesarean, and preparedness. If she didn’t know the answer or had the expertise, she knew people and organizations she trusted. I am so grateful to have had Rhonda because during my third trimester, I suddenly had a widespread case of PUPPPs rash, which led to severe sleep deprivation and last minute induction. Rhonda was there to guide us and helped immensely with postpartum. I was in a lot of pain, and she helped me rest by taking care of the baby, and made lactation cookies to help with milk production. Rhonda was also instrumental in finding good baby products that worked. Rhonda has been great to work with because of her kindness, expertise, flexibility, communication and a willingness to figure out how to get things to work out.

Ok I’m not really one to recommend books on this page BUT this is an exception. Put it on your Reserve List at the library, listen on Audible, check it out on Libby. Whatever you need to do…just enjoy it!

Back in the day before I became a doula, I had my own small batch baking mix business here in Madison, WI under the name The Quilter Cook LLC. I was based out of Feed Kitchens and sold my products all around the Midwest. I also had a big display at both of the Metcalf stores here in the city and was also on their shelves, which is kind of a big deal in the start up biz.
So, now with my doula gig, I have combined those recipes w my postpartum work and take baskets of quick handmade mixes to my families. I continue to hold my WI Food License and prepare them in an official kitchen, but don’t plan to sell them this time to the public.
So, I designed a couple of new labels. Which do you like?
