Hi Friends!

Over the last few days, our phones have been ringing off the hook—which is so exciting! More new friends to meet ❤️

However, a lot of those calls are for basic information about our services and how to schedule an appointment.

Because of that, I want to share a little bit about how the “Nurse House” operates.

To provide you with exceptional care at a very reasonable price, I choose to keep my overhead low. This means I do not employ a receptionist.

My absolute priority is and always will be the friends who have decided to make Alora their home for healthcare.

Because of this streamlined setup, Alora family members get a level of care you won't find at standard clinics:

True Individualized, One-on-One Care: You get my undivided attention, tailored completely to your unique health and wellness goals during you scheduled time, 1 hour, not 7 mins.

Unmatched Convenience: To accommodate the busy lives of the Alora family, I even host evening and weekend hours for urgent visits.

Direct Access: Once you are a member of the family, you get direct access to me. My current Alora family deeply respect the care I give because they have experienced it firsthand, so they know not to abuse this access.

I am a Nurse Practitioner, not a receptionist.👩‍⚕️🩺 My gifts and talents are best used focusing entirely on medicine and your well-being. Setting these boundaries isn't "being rude", rather it’s how I protect my time so I can show up fully for the people who trust me with their health.

Every minute I spend answering questions on the phone that are already detailed online is time taken away from providing this dedicated, flexible care.

How you can help us keep things running smoothly:
Everything you need to know, including our full list of services, pricing, and our super easy online booking system—is clearly laid out on our website.
www.alorahealth.org

Checking the website first allows me to keep my costs down, my service fees low, and my focus exactly where it belongs: on you ❤️

Thank you all so much for your understanding, your incredible support, and for helping me protect the premium care I dedicate to our Alora family!

❤️- V.

“I don't need to see a doctor, I’m fine” energy isn’t just my guys here in the clinic.

Piper is currently staging a silent protest, giving me the same 'why are we here?' look I get from them on the daily.

I promise there are treats involved, Piper! ❤️

To all the mothers in our Alora Health family: I see you today and wish you the greatest day ever. What a gift it is to be a mom. 🤍

Mother’s Day is a day of celebration! 💐🧁👛👗……but for many of us, it is also a day of complex emotions.

Today, my heart is specifically holding space for:

• The grieving mothers: Those of you who, like me, are navigating the day with a piece of your heart missing after the loss of a child. I know that silence all too well, and I am standing with you. 🕊️

• The mothers-in-waiting: Those of you walking the difficult and often lonely road of infertility. Your strength does not go unnoticed.

To the mothers who are tired, the mothers who are celebrating, and the mothers who are simply trying to get through the day—you are loved, you are resilient, and you are not alone.

Wishing you a day of peace and love.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Why I’m "Practicing What I Preach" When it Comes to Hormone Health 🌸

I have a confession 🙋🏻‍♀️

Even as a provider, I was caught off guard by how much my own body changed when my estrogen levels dropped.

My shoulders and hips were screaming at me. As a side sleeper, night after night I’d wake up because the pressure on my shoulder felt like "bone on bone."

It wasn’t just "getting older"—it was my anatomy reacting to a lack of estrogen. Without that "hormonal WD-40," my joints were losing their lubrication and my inflammation was skyrocketing.

I decided to start the estrogen patch, and I want to be 100% transparent about the journey, because I know many of you are right there with me.

Almost immediately after starting the patch, the bloating hit. It’s that "my jeans are suddenly too tight" feeling that makes you want to rip the patch off and throw it away. I get it. I feel it too. 🤬

But here is what I tell my Alora friends—and what I had to remind myself:

1. The Adjustment is Temporary: My body was like a dry sponge. That initial "puff" was just my cells recalibrating and holding onto water as they adjusted to the new signal.

2. The Progesterone Piece: While estrogen can make us "hold" water, progesterone acts as a natural diuretic. It helps clear up the swelling in my legs and ankles.

3. Patience is the magic Ingredient: I’m already starting to feel that "sharpness" leave my shoulders. I can reach for the seatbelt without wincing. But I know it takes 4 to 8 weeks for the joint fluid to truly replenish. And a huge shout out to Jodi for keeping my moving with a routine massage.

My Message to You ❤️

If you’ve started HRT and feel discouraged by the initial bloating or frustrated that the pain hasn't vanished in 48 hours—don’t give up. Your tissues are healing, your joints are re-hydrating, and your body is finding its balance.

I’m walking this path right alongside you. We don't have to settle for "stiff and tired" as our new normal.

I’m here to help you navigate the "messy middle" of of life and get you feeling better. But remember, it’s a marathon and not a sprint. And I remind all of my clients it’s called “practicing” medicine for a reason. You are an individual and not a protocol. If the plan isn’t working, we change the plan, not give up.

Have a great weekend friends,
❤️V.

I’m OBSESSED with finding the "Why?" behind your symptoms. Why is your blood pressure up? Why is your energy low?

One of my absolute favorite things to do at the “Nurse House” isn't actually writing a new prescription—it’s the art of deprescribing.

Most of healthcare is focused on adding more. But when we take the time to dig deep and address the root cause of an issue (instead of just masking the symptoms), something magical happens: the body starts to find its balance again.

When the root cause is healed, we can often:
• Decrease dosages safely.
• Simplify your daily routine.
• In some cases, eliminate certain medications entirely!

Health isn't about how many pills you take; it’s about how well your body functions without them.

My favorite care plan:
1st: food
2nd: supplements
3rd: medication

Happy Nurses Week! 🤍

This week has me thinking about the beautiful cycle of this profession. I am so deeply grateful for the veteran nurses who walked before me—the ones who taught me time honored traditions, kept me steady, and taught me that nursing is as much an art as it is a science.

Today, I’m just as honored to pay it forward by guiding the incredible nurses coming up behind me.

To those who paved the way and those who are just starting theirs: it’s a privilege to stand in the middle with you. 🩺

Nursing is a journey we never walk alone. Happy Nurses Week to my mentors, my peers, and the future of healthcare!

Happy Tuesday Friends!

Do you remember Scott?

I am so INCREDIBLY proud of my client, who has now become my friend! Witnessing his transformation has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my 🩺 career. 🖤

It's truly remarkable how he has taken control of his health journey in such a holistic way, and the results are inspiring to everyone around him.

He's not just a client; he's part of the Alora family here at the clinic. He's lowered his body fat, improved his blood pressure and triglycerides, but beyond that, he’s embracing a healthier lifestyle in every aspect. Remember, what you do in this decade will impact the next.

His dedication and hard work are so inspiring, and I’m so incredibly grateful for his trust and the chance to walk alongside him on this journey. He’s not just making changes for himself, he’s showing all of us what’s possible with commitment and care.

It’s an absolute honor to be his friend and to continue supporting him as he keeps moving forward. So proud of you, Scott! And thank you for letting me be your NP! 🩺
