Switzerland County continues to report six confirmed measles cases. Measles remains highly contagious, and we encourage residents to stay cautious. If you believe you’ve been exposed—especially if you are unvaccinated or unsure of your immunity—stay away from others and call your healthcare provider before seeking care. Watch for symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, red or watery eyes, or a rash. We’ll continue monitoring the situation closely and provide updates as they become available.

A confirmed case of measles has been reported locally.
📌 Highly contagious—spreads through the air.
📌 Symptoms: fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, rash.
📌 If you think you’ve been exposed:
Check your MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) vaccination status and watch for symptoms for 21 days.

If symptoms appear:
✅ Call your healthcare provider before visiting.
✅ Stay home to prevent spread.
