Meet Phoebe — a cute, broke, easy-going bay mare who is looking for her next person! 🤎

Phoebe is broke broke and ready to get back to work with just a small tune-up. She’s the kind of mare that could be a great 4-H horse, trail horse, or handy little show-day partner for someone wanting to have fun without needing a fancy, high-maintenance show horse.

*Maintenance*
Not currently shod. She does have a club foot. This doesn’t affect her trail riding and light riding responsibilities but if she’s going to be shown she needs shoes.
Not currently on any medications and don’t predict that she needs to be.

She is comfortable with:

At approximately 15.2 hands, she’s a nice size without being overwhelming.

Phoebe has a sweet, easy-going personality and is the type you can take out for a trail ride one day and make a fun day-show horse the next. I could especially see her being a really nice 4-H prospect for a confident rider something fun and useful to take to the arena, trail, or local show.

Her one quirk: she can be a little cinchy and will make some funny faces when being saddled . She is not aggressive or dangerous, but her new owner should be aware of it and saddle her appropriately. (Disclose at showing every time)

She isn’t being advertised as a project. She is broke and usable. She simply could use a little consistency to get her doing her best again.

Approximately 15.1hh — big, wide, and nicely put together!

PROJECT HORSE — NOT BROKE

Thunder is looking for someone who wants a project and is willing to put the time into finishing him. He is not currently broke to ride, but he does have a good start on the ground. He leads, ties, loads, and unloads. He has been saddled and will lunge.

He can be a little pushy at times, so he will need someone experienced who is comfortable continuing his groundwork and putting some buttons on him.

He is a nice big dude with a lot of potential for the right person! ❤️

Bet on yourself. Even when the odds are against you.

There comes a point where you have to stop waiting and decide that you’re going to believe in yourself.

Put all the odds against you.
Let them doubt you.
Let them underestimate you.
Let them tell you it won’t work.

And then… bet on YOU anyway.

Because strength isn’t always knowing you’re going to win. Sometimes strength is taking the step when you have no idea how it’s going to work out and trusting that you’ll figure it out along the way.

The biggest shift is realizing that failure and learning are not opposites. Sometimes failure is the lesson. If you tried something, it didn’t work, and you walked away knowing more than you knew before you didn’t really lose. You gained information.

And being willing to learn means being willing to say:

* I don’t know.
* I could have done that better.
* Let me try again.
* What can I take from this?
* How can I grow from here?

The people who never fail are often the people who never put themselves in a position to grow. You can’t learn to ride better without getting uncomfortable. You can’t build a business without making mistakes. You can’t become the person you’re meant to be without having seasons where you’re figuring it out as you go.

Trying and failing is still movement. Not trying at all guarantees you stay exactly where you are.

And I really love this perspective: If you fail but learn something, it wasn’t a failure, it was tuition. You paid for a lesson, and now you get to use it moving forward.

Growth requires humility. It requires curiosity. It requires being teachable even when you’re already good at something. (I still take lessons)

Don’t be afraid to fail. Be afraid of refusing to learn!

Get out there. Try. Try and try again. Giving up is the failure. Your time is near, keep going 🫶🏼
