Representing District 108, Representative Hobgood-Wilkes has served in the Mississippi House of Representatives since 2017. She is a member of the Banking and Financial Services; Business and Commerce; Investigate State Offices; and Transportation Committees.

Representative Hobgood-Wilkes is a former member of the Mississippi Republican Party State Executive Committee and is actively involved in numerous civic and community organizations, including the Pearl River County Republican Executive Committee, Pearl River County Republican Women, Rotary International, Main Street, the Greater Picayune Area Chamber of Commerce, and the National Rifle Association. She is also a life member of the Picayune Junior Auxiliary and a former board member of the Senior Center of South Pearl River County.

Thankfully the TN legislature & Governor are in the business of protecting healthcare access for their citizens!

It’s quite disappointing that Mississippi politicians are bought by the PBMs, CENTENE, & their lobbyist.

The Tennessee Pharmacists Association applauds Gov. Bill Lee for signing the FAIR Rx Act into law today — ending PBM ownership of pharmacies and restoring fairness, transparency, and patient choice across the state. A major win for patients, providers, and pharmacies.

Yet another Mississippi independent pharmacy closed its doors this week.THAT MAKES TWO THIS WEEK.

Do not blame the owners.Do not blame the staff.

These pharmacies are fighting every single day just to survive while being crushed by PBMs, below-cost reimbursements, and politicians too weak to stand up to the corporate machine.

THIS is the tipping point we have been SCREAMING about for years.

Your politicians have failed independent pharmacy. The Governor, the Speaker of the House, and the political insiders protecting the PBM lobby are allowing hometown pharmacies to be driven straight into extinction.

The PBM lobbyists, their hired guns at Capitol Resources, and the Mississippi Business Alliance are helping corporate healthcare giants wipe independent pharmacies off the map.

Every pharmacy closure means:• fewer healthcare options• longer drives for prescriptions• job losses in local communities• less care for elderly and rural patients

And unless something changes NOW, this will continue until independent pharmacy no longer exists in Mississippi.

This is no longer a warning.This is happening in real time.

It’s NOW OR NEVER for independent pharmacy.
