MIDD - WEST operates a variety of employment and life skills training programs for the developmentally disabled of Warren County, Mississippi.

MIDD - West operates the following programs and services for the disabled populations of Warren and Claiborne Counties in Mississippi:

Sheltered Workshop-
Paid employment and training for community employment in a supervised setting. Goals for persons served are both employment and personal / daily living skills attainment. Developmental Services-
Daily care and skills training for the severely

disabled. Transportation Services-
Group transport to and from Workshop and Developmental Services. Transport for personal needs is also provided. Community Employment Placement-
Real work placement, and on the site job coaching. Community Supportive Services-
Case management to eliminate personal and logistical barriers to permanent employment. Resources for other community services to the handicapped. Evaluation and Assessment Services-
Identifies levels and types of disability, individual strengths and establishes eligibility for specific services.

Elizabeth Ballard, Kathy Castellane, and Tommy Skinner, all Master Gardeners, came out to the center on Tuesday and did a wonderful presentation with the participants. They enjoyed it so much, they want to come back! They played “Vegetable Bingo”, read a story, and made a collage. It was a great day!
