Each week we will highlight one of our staff members so you can get to know them better & show them some love. It seemed only fitting to start with one of our OG members who helped start Hometown Peds. Leila has been working alongside Haley for years, and she truly is one of a kind!

Until further notice, our Perry location will be changing business hours. Perry will be open every other Monday, and every Wednesday and Thursday.

Perry——
Monday (every other): 8:30a-5p
Tuesday- CLOSED
Wednesday- 8:30a-5p (1p-5p via virtual visit)
Thursday- 8:30a-5p
Friday- CLOSED

Our Vienna location will remain open with our normal business hours for both walk ins and scheduled appointments.

We are so sorry with any inconvenience this may cause.

And swimming often means exposure to chlorine. Chlorine is know to strip the natural oils from the skin that protect the skin barrier from invaders. Chlorine also mixes with organic matter, like sweat, to create Chloramines. Chloramines are more disruptive and often harsher to the skin barrier.

How do we protect from these harsh chemicals? —- Vitamin C

Yes, Vitamin C (aka ascorbic acid) is a powerful antioxidant that effectively neutralizes both Chlorine and Chloramines on the skin.

Easy steps to help protect your kids from Chlorine:
Shower/bathe prior to pool exposure.
Spray Vitamin C spray all over body and hair.
Apply sunscreen (if necessary).
After exposure, wash off all water.
Spray Vitamin C spray religiously to body and hair.
Moisturize skin with lotion/tallow.

Let your babies enjoy a pool but also protect them from harsh chemicals.
