This spring, we received a generous grant from Immanuel Presbyterian Church for new furniture for Duncan Drive's den and breakfast nook. It's here, it's in place, but the rooms aren't finished yet, and we need to close out the last few details before the start of football. Curtains, paint, a TV, and storage are the last pieces to make the den and breakfast nook part of the official Commanders HQ-Duncan, where one resident keeps track of his favorite NFL team’s statistics throughout the year. For the past four years, we have had the pleasure of working with NM Fairfax as a site for their annual Impact Day! Last Friday, a group of dedicated volunteers worked in the garden at our Arden Street home, power-washing the ramp, weeding and cleaning garden beds, removing old house numbers, and building a raised garden bed. We're so thankful to NM Fairfax for another great day of service and look forward to next year!

Last night, our community gathered to celebrate the end of our fiscal year 2026 and to thank our donors for their support of our mission, and most importantly, the individuals we serve. Thank you to all who came out to Terra's Ice Cream & Sweets, stayed to catch up with Langley staff, individuals, and leaders, and enjoyed some great homemade ice cream. July 1 is the start of our fiscal year 2027, and we remain committed to empowering adults with developmental disabilities to thrive.

Our fiscal year 2026 ends tonight at midnight. Tomorrow begins a new year of empowering adults with developmental disabilities to thrive. Looking back, we have so much to be thankful for: daily moments of growth for our individuals, incredible partnerships that helped our residents thrive, securing lifelong, stable care through Medicaid Waivers for six individuals, and so much more.
