Day 487: Carson had a week with mommy and his nephew while his brothers stayed at camp.

Day 485: Carson was so excited for camp, but he was ready to come home. Now he’s sad and just wants to go back with his big brothers. Maybe next time. His brothers will be there till Friday.

Day 483: Had a great time last night with Seth's Squad at the Louisville City FC game. I love it when my boy can feel “normal”. He did get really hot and took it upon himself to take off his shirt and pour a water bottle on himself. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Day 480: Carson had a port flush and count check today. Everything went well and he was given the okay to attend Camp Quality Kentuckiana this weekend!!

Day 473: Carson is out for the summer and he is not happy about it. He told me he is going to miss his teachers and friends way too much. I assured him that summer would fly by and he would back in no time.

Day 472: Today has been an emotional day for me. Carson should have graduated kindergarten today. We should be celebrating him going on to 1st grade next school year and being at the same school as his big brother. (His brother will be going into 5th grade next year, so this was going to be the only year they’d be together.) Instead Carson will be returning to kindergarten in the Fall. After he was diagnosed I already made the decision to hold him back.
He only went this year to get to some type of normalcy and structure.
I didn’t realize it was going to be so emotional for the both of us. Carson coming home singing his graduation songs asking when his graduation was. Begging me to go on to 1st grade. Telling me he will work hard over the summer, because he wants to move on with his friends. Then me receiving countless emails and hearing announcements over the intercom about a graduation he would not be attending. I just hope and pray next year is his time to shine. I pray he whoops cancer and gets to graduate next year. I hope he gets the chance…..Next year I want him to celebrate completing kindergarten and ringing the bell. Gotta speak it into existence.

Since his class had graduation tonight they just did a Google meet for awards during school. I am still so proud of the growth he has made, only being in school for 2 1/2 months this year.

Day 469: Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana gave us tickets the Ringling Brothers Circus and Kids Cancer Alliance had an event at the Bats game this weekend. The game was canceled after a 2 hour rain delay, but Carson still had fun seeing all the Star War characters!

Day 468: Today Carson was invited to Bree's Blessings golf scramble. He loved being the celebrity guest. He woke up this morning weak and in pain and I wasn’t sure if he was going to make it. However, after some fluids Carson was feeling a lot better. He had a great time!!
