I’ve never considered myself a “recovering Catholic.” 🤍
I went to Catholic school for nine years. I continued attending church and was confirmed in high school. My children were baptized in the Catholic Church and made their First Communions.
Catholicism was part of my life well into adulthood.
And I don’t regret any of it.
I still believe in God. I still believe in Jesus. I still connect deeply with Mother Mary and the angels.
In fact, my Mother Mary and angel oracle cards are some of my favorites to work with. I find their messages incredibly beautiful and powerful.
I haven’t thrown away my Catholic roots. I’ve simply allowed them to grow into something that feels more aligned with who I am today.
And I would still happily step inside a Catholic church.
I just no longer believe that my connection to God has to exist within the walls of one.
Here’s what I’ve come to understand…
I can honor the teachings that shaped me without agreeing with every single one.
I can find beauty and wisdom in different spiritual practices without needing to subscribe to all of them.
And I can believe deeply in something while respecting that someone else may believe something entirely different.
That’s also how I approach the work I do with my clients.
I’m not here to convince you to believe what I believe. I’m here to understand what YOU believe and honor that in our work together.
Because spirituality isn’t one-size-fits-all.
And neither is healing.
You don’t have to reject who you were to embrace who you’re becoming.
You can take what resonates, question what doesn’t, and give yourself permission to evolve.
And perhaps most importantly, you can allow others that same freedom.
There’s room for all of us. 🤍
