I am so very excited to be starting a new chapter of my career. I have accepted a position as an IBCLC/Clinical Medical Assistant at an Outpatient Women and Infant Care practice. I will be working with three extremely dedicated doctors who have all gone above and beyond their standard family medicine training to become well versed in pregnancy, labor & delivery, breastfeeding medicine and postpartum mental and physical care. I am so honored that they asked me to be a part of their team and cannot wait to work closely with them.
With the continuous decline of insurance coverage of outpatient lactation care, this model allows for breastfeeding parents to see their provider and me all in one place, and have access to crucial care that is not out of pocket.
I will still occasionally be able to see in home patients, but my own business will be slowing down to allow me to transition to the office full time.
