One of our dogs went missing in the Lacy Lakeview area we were out this evening. Not sure if she was spooked by fireworks or what. Her name is Bella, she's a boxer, pointer, mutt mix. She is gentle and sweet but very shy. Please let me know if you've seen her.

2 big wins this weekend

I had to get a new staff shirt at church for an event and it was a medium!!! I haven't worn a medium church shirt in probably 7 years.

We had our event at church and between setting up and working it, I got nearly 40,000 in 2 days and at least 1/3 of those were stairs. My calves still hurt but it's worth it

Here's something I've been doing lately that has really helped me stay on track. I cook extra protein or veggies and I meal prep my week. But not like some people where I eat the same thing all week (it's too boring for me). These containers were a great Amazon find. My husband is even using them and I prep his lunch the night before.

By the way, these meals are all 0-1 pt

Last week I gained 3.6 lbs. The days leading up to it where choatic and I just couldn't make myself focus on what I was eating. My brain was beyond done with the other things I was dealing with and had no energy for thinking about good food choices. I hope it won't always be that way for me but let's face it, I'll always struggle with it from time to time. I hope I'm not alone.

This week I lost 1.8 lbs, half of what I gained before. I'm excited about that. I made the choice to move forward. I still had stressors and even had to text my husband and friend as a reminder to myself "frustration is NOT hunger" and it did help. I'm looking forward to next week and losing the other half of that gain.

So my 0 point chocolate candy was not bad. I added a little peppermint extract because others suggested adding mint. But...

So my 0 point chocolate candy was not bad. I added a little peppermint extract because others suggested adding mint. But I'll tell you I won't add it next time. You can very much taste the banana in the chocolate which probably wouldn't be bad except the peppermint. It does not go with the banana. And you have to keep them frozen or they turn to liquid.

What's for lunch?

I like making stir fry for lunch because I love the flavor of the fresh veggies and the colors and just throwing all kinds of stuff in it. The only problem is I throw so much stuff in it that I couldn't possibly eat the whole amount I cooked. This is my shrimp stir fry for today and it's only about 1/2 the pan and 0 pts.

Last week I made the Super Easy Slow Cooker Three Bean Chili. Ok just saying that is a mouth full. But it's really good and it's 0pts. Today I used some of the leftovers and made me a burrito for lunch with a 0pt SmartTortilla and 0pt fat free shredded cheddar. Pair that with some yummy fresh veggies and this girl is FULL for 0pts.

Let me be completely transparent here. To say I went WAY over my points this past week is a complete understatement. This is crazy and I know there were things I forgot (both accidentally and intentionally) to track but I did the best I could (except those 4 white chocolate cranberry cookies in bed Monday night that magically didn't make it to my tracker). The gain was not as big as I expected and I'm already planning my meals for the next couple of weeks. Planning helps me stay on track and be successful. I know that my plan has to be flexible but having a plan and sticking to it most days saves me when those unexpected and flexible days come up.

We had burgers for dinner last night and thanks to a new find, I was able to have a real hamburger, bun and all, guilt free. These Smart Buns are so good. The taste and texture is just like a regular bun but they are only 1pt. They are gluten free, Keto friendly, and all the healthy stuff that doesn't usually taste very good. But let me tell you, these taste great!
