⭐ Patient Spotlight: Albert Talavera ⭐
We are proud to highlight an incredible success story, Mr. Albert Talavera.
Mr. Talavera was originally seen by our advanced wound care specialist, Dr. Steven Roberts, DO, in May 2025. At the time of his initial evaluation, he presented with multiple complex wounds, including several Stage 4 pressure injuries.
Over the course of his care, our team treated more than 22 wounds, working diligently alongside facility staff to provide consistent, high-quality treatment and support.
Today, we are thrilled to share that Mr. Talavera is now COMPLETELY HEALED and currently has no wounds to report. This outcome represents not only exceptional patient resilience, but also the power of coordinated, team-based care.
This success would not have been possible without the outstanding partnership and dedication of the team at The Parks Senior Living in Odessa, TX. We are especially grateful for the collaboration with their wound care nurse and staff, whose commitment and communication played a vital role in achieving this outcome.
Together, this level of care coordination allows us to successfully heal complex wounds and, most importantly, improve the quality of life for our patients.
👏 Congratulations Mr. Talavera and thank you to everyone who contributed to this remarkable journey!🥰🎉🙌

🌟EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT🌟

Brooklynn Pilkington - CCMA, WCT-C
Clinical Specialist

Brooklynn serves as an essential member of the SRDO Advanced Wound Care team, bringing a high level of clinical competence and professionalism to the mobile wound care environment. As a medical assistant, she supports providers with precision and reliability, ensuring each visit runs smoothly and that patients receive consistent, high‑quality care. Her role extends far beyond technical tasks—she is often the first point of connection for patients, offering reassurance, clear communication, and a steady presence during complex and sometimes emotionally challenging wound care treatments. Some days, the weight you carry feels invisible to everyone but you. The long days, the quiet drives home, the moments when you hold your breath before walking into another room, those stay with you. Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder that your feelings, your limits, and your healing matter just as much as the people you care for. You’re not just a role or a uniform. You’re a human being with a heart that deserves rest, support, and compassion too. 💙

International Nurses Day celebrates the skill, compassion, and resilience that nurses bring to every corner of healthcare. It’s a moment to recognize the countless ways they advocate for patients, support families, and strengthen communities. Today, we honor every nurse — from bedside caregivers to specialized clinicians — whose dedication makes healing possible and whose impact reaches far beyond their shift.

We are so thankful for all of our nurses, especially our wound care nurses who we work alongside each and every week.
