Meet Kathryn Watson, the camp counselor guiding our upcoming Fall Break Horse Camp at Mesquite Meadows in Waddell, Arizona.

Kathryn has spent 11 years around horses and brings 6 years of horse-training experience to the ranch.

But what matters most?
She understands that good horsemanship isn’t just about learning what to do.
It’s about patience. Trust. Communication. Respect. Confidence.

During camp, Kathryn will help kids ages 7–12 learn through real, hands-on experiences with horses, including handling, grooming, tacking, feeding, basic care, and safe interaction.

For parents, that means your child isn’t simply “spending time with horses.”
