Adding one healthy ingredient doesn’t automatically make a food healthy.
I’m weary of “health” foods being chosen bc of marketing claims instead of the quality of their ingredients.. especially when new mums, pregnant mums, postpartum mums are the target — we mums need to know this:
there is a huge difference between
✨ a convenient food
and
✨ a food specifically designed to support gut health.
If a product is marketed as “gut healthy,” we need to know:
• Where are the ingredients sourced from?
• Why are refined fillers being used?
• How much of the star ingredient is actually included?
• Why are some ingredients vague while others are highlighted on the front of the package?
• Can we get transparency on exactly what is included under the Natural Flavor ingredient?
As a mum, a fertility-minded nutrition consultant, who has spent decades healing my gut and teaching other mums to truly nourish themselves throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond—
I don’t encourage spending premium prices on products that are claiming to be healthier than they are.
What do you think?
