Last October, I brought home a plumeria cutting from Maui.
I planted it with visions of flowers and growth. Instead, winter arrived.
Months passed with very little visible change, and there were times I wondered if it would survive at all.
Still, I kept showing up. Giving it sunlight, patience, care, and a little faith that something was happening beneath the surface.
At the same time, life was asking me to do the same.
Then, after months of waiting, tiny signs of life appeared. New crowns. New growth. New possibilities.
My plumeria reminded me that not every season is about blooming. Sometimes it’s about rooting. About trusting the process and continuing to nurture something long before you see the results.
We’re not quite where we’re going yet, but we’re both growing.

Trust what is happening beneath the surface. The roots are growing long before the flowers appear.
