Another coverup by dom

A cover-up should look like a new tattoo, not a tattoo hiding another one.

This old script was replaced with a rich red peony, using deeper values and strong contrast to completely change the shape and visual weight of the original piece.

Cover-ups are always a puzzle, and that’s half the fun.

Another day, another airbrush canvas from Anthony Martinez. 🎨

Anthony is new to the area and we’re working on getting some new tattoo clients in his chair. He’s bilingual, but definitely more comfortable speaking Spanish than English.

If you know someone looking for a Spanish-speaking tattoo artist, send them our way. Let’s get Anthony busy. 🤝

Some things change as we grow up. Some things just take a different shape.

The excitement, the confidence, that little moment in the mirror where you stop and think, damn… I love this.

Maybe that part of us never really leaves.

🚨 We need someone TOMORROW at 5 PM!

We’re looking for a volunteer for an artist audition at DRive Tattoos. The artist is interested in joining our team, and we want to see her work in a real tattoo setting.

We’ll be choosing someone to receive one of these designs at no charge for the tattoo itself.

The only thing we ask is that you come prepared to tip the artist well. She’s traveled a long way for this opportunity, and we want to make sure her time and effort are respected.

If you love one of the designs, are available tomorrow at 5 PM, and are flexible with placement, send us a DM with the design you want and where you’d like to put it.

Please only reach out if you’re serious and can make the appointment. 🖤

Life changes. Sometimes our tattoos need to change with us.

This one started with something that no longer belonged in the client’s next chapter. We worked through the existing tattoo, built the new design directly around what was already there, and gave it an entirely different life.

Swipe through to see the before → design process → finished cover-up.

The past doesn’t have to disappear for something new to grow from it.
