1️⃣ Check their filing cabinet or home safe, look for anything from an insurance company dated more than 5 years ago
2️⃣ Review their bank statements, premium payments are often automatic and will show the insurer's name
3️⃣ Contact their financial advisor or accountant — they may have records on file
4️⃣ Search their email for policy renewal notices
5️⃣ Call your state's insurance department - Maryland has a policy locator service
