SamTalia is by Samantha Marie, a choreographer who began her journey of holistic well-being after struggling with depression and anxiety for several years, then had a string of heart and other health issues snowballing on top of it. Through studying nutrition and mind-body connection, she

was able to discontinue all prescription medications and become physically active once more. Not wanting to see others go through the trouble she did alone, she obtained her Personal Trainer and Nutritionist Certifications in 2013 to help others in their journey of health and happiness. In 2014 the Natural Beauty and Body Blog was launched with workouts, nutrition tips, and product reviews in health and beauty. 2015 brought Natural Solutions from DoTerra essential oils into the newly formed SamTalia which encompassed fitness, nutrition, and natural health alternatives. In recent years Samantha has began speaking out raising awareness on normalizing mental and emotional wellness, sharing from her personal experiences and developing inclusive platforms for people and companies to feel safe and comfortable addressing these issues we all face. She's continued educational certifications to support this cause, including becoming a Certified Holistic Life Coach, Fitness Nutritionist, and Corporate Wellness Coach. SamTalia is the wellness branch of OmniEra, implementing holistic well-being practices specializing in events and the hospitality industry. It's !

Invest in your peace. Sometimes paying for what supports your mental health is worth every penny.
For the longest time, this has pretty much been my only paid subscription app for several years. I started out meditating with Headspace a short time, then tried Calm.
I love the variety, the sleep stories, daily meditations, collections focused on specific needs, and so much more.
You can usually have a free trial of the Premium subscription for seven days, so try it out!
The sleep stories alone are worth it for many people - they're narrated by soothing voices and designed to help you drift off peacefully.
There are meditations for anxiety, stress, focus, gratitude, and just about anything else you might need in the moment. The daily meditation changes every day, so there's always something fresh.
If you're serious about making meditation a consistent practice, having a paid app like Calm can be the accountability and variety you need.

A bit pricey for the year, but it has wonderful features if you're really looking to change your diet and way of healthful eating.
Scanning barcodes instead of entering manually saves time, being able to see what foods you eat are highest in carbs, fat, etc. is helpful to make the changes you're looking for, and TONS of other features that aren't available in the free version.
If you're able to splurge, go for it!

Premium allows you to track specific nutrients more easily, set different macronutrient goals for different days (like if you're carb cycling), and get more detailed reports on your eating patterns.

If you're serious about optimizing your nutrition and have specific health goals, the Premium version gives you the tools to really dial it in. The free version is still excellent, but if nutrition is a major focus for you right now, the upgrade can be worth the investment in your health.

Motivation doesn't always come naturally. Find your trick, make a deal with yourself, and show up for it.
πŸ’‘
We want to do things, but actually finding the motivation to do them when we're feeling down can seem nearly impossible. Even when we're feeling good, motivation can be difficult too.
😴
How do you make yourself do something when the time comes and you're not feeling it? Find a trick.
πŸ˜€
A few that I'm currently using:
- When it comes to exercise, sign up for a class that if you don't show up, they charge you.
-Make a workout date with a friend that you don't want to flake on and let them down.
- When you think you may want to do something "later," give yourself an exact time. Maybe it's in 30 minutes, maybe it's a specific time. Make that deal with yourself that if you give yourself time now, you owe it to yourself to do it at the time you pick.

Sometimes you just literally need the motivation to get out of bed.
You almost feel sick at the thought, or maybe you do actually feel sick, and your bed is a warm cocoon comforting you away from what you dread.
What I've found is that if I do end up getting out of bed and start my day within 30-60 minutes, I actually feel fine. So what I've been telling myself as my "trick" is that my body is lying to me, and I don't really feel that way - it's just trying to keep me stuck in bed.

If this "trick" negatively impacts you and your mind when following your intuition or other things you're trying to internally work on, then feel free to ignore it. But if you find it a positive tool, try it out.
😊

Confession: I mostly hate cardio. πŸ˜‚
I do it anyway. For my heart, for the endorphins, and because intense cardio is one of the only things that shuts off the low-level worry noise and replaces it with actual inspiration.

March and April's Wellness Wednesday tips are all rounded up on the blog now - ten weeks of practices I genuinely use, written for real life. πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

We covered:
✨ Movement (even the reluctant kind)
✨ Restoration - yoga, baths, sauna, all of it
✨ Meditation (the practice I put off for years and wish I hadn't)
✨ Light therapy (and why florescent lighting in conference rooms is my nemesis)
✨ Why planning a trip counts as self-care - 100%.

Of course, I tied it back to events and travel. It's how seamlessly infuses holistic well-being into 's Life. (See what I did there?) πŸ˜‰

The way we take care of ourselves shows up in everything we create. That goes for you too.

Our parents worked hard, told us to save every penny, and never take risks. πŸ’
They were protecting us with what they knew.

Here's what we know now:
Saving alone won't close the wealth gap. We need to GROW wealth, not just store it.
πŸ“ˆ
This isn't about abandoning their wisdom, it's about adding to it.
Their sacrifice + Our strategy = Generational wealth
You can honor the hustle AND do things differently. Both things can be true.

Breaking patterns isn't betrayal. It's evolution. It's using the foundation to build something even stronger.

Tag someone who's rewriting their family's money story. πŸ’š

Similar to processed carbohydrates, factory meat can also affect brain chemistry by way of chemicals and antibiotics in the factory farm process.
πŸ’‘
When animals are killed (often extremely traumatic and gruesome), they are scared and in a lot of pain, and chemicals are released from their body which in turn - we eat those chemicals.
βš›
Cortisol from their stress equals ingested cortisol stress for us.

Additionally, hormones given to animals to make them grow a certain size, shape, or other abnormal attributes are transferred to us, which can cause a variety of health issues ranging from early menopause to cancer.

If you choose to eat meat, look for terms like grass-fed, pasture-raised, organic, or locally sourced from farms you trust.
Better yet, consider reducing meat consumption and increasing plant-based proteins.
πŸ™Œ
Your body will process these foods more easily, and you'll likely notice improvements in how you feel overall.

Ambition doesn't expire, so why do we treat it like it does? ✨

I had a meeting with a school counselor ready to finish the last requirement of my AA-T in Psychology - one class, one lab, years in the making - and walked out being asked if I really wanted this.
πŸ‘€
Going to school when you already have a career, a life, and approximately forty other things on your plate isn't a red flag. It's a flex.
The discipline, the drive, the sheer audacity to keep growing when the world keeps asking why? That's strength.
πŸ’ͺ🏽
My newest blog is for every person who has been underestimated in a learning environment, every professional who talked themselves out of going back to school, and every recruiter who ever looked at a non-linear path and got confused. πŸ‘‹πŸ½
The window didn't close. You just need to find the right door. πŸšͺ✨
