Allure Rejuvenation Center is a boutique skin care organization serving the Bay Area. Sheri Golden, MHS, PA-C, supervised by Wilson S. Tsai, MD, the organization’s Medical Director, works closely with her patients to develop a personalized program to enhance their existing beauty, in a natural way. Sheri Lynn Golden, MHS, PA-C

. This deeply ingrained desire to help others is what guided her to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant (PA). With over a decade of experience as a PA in high acuity surgical specialties, Sheri has had the privilege of working in some of the leading healthcare institutions in inpatient medicine, surgery and cosmetic dermatology. These institutions include a renowned Cosmetic Dermatologist on New York’s Fifth Avenue and Memorial Sloan-Kettering. These world-class institutions have brought Sheri excellent technical skills, knowledge and patient rapport from high volume, prestigious practices, critical in a medical professional’s ability in managing patient care at every level. Sheri is well versed with injectable facial fillers and Botox, as well as multiple laser treatments, of which she hopes to expand to in the near future. Sheri started Allure Rejuvenation Center as a place where women and men can call upon to enhance their beauty in a relaxing, beautiful and professional environment. She is focused, compassionate and confident and brings together enormous technical medical knowledge combined with the eye of a great artist. She looks forward to working with her patients to develop an individualized program for each person, enhancing their existing beauty in a natural way. A few words from our fearless leader, Irina. 🤍

Dolly Parton died this week at 80.

Everyone brings up how open she was about the plastic surgery and the Botox. She was, and I’m glad she was. But that gets treated like the headline when it was such a small part of who she was.

In 1973, Dolly wrote “I Will Always Love You.” Elvis Presley wanted to record it. The night before the session, his manager told her Elvis would only do it if she signed over half the publishing rights.

She said no.

She cried all night because she wanted to hear Elvis sing her song. But she knew what she had built, and she wasn’t giving half of it away.

Years later, Whitney Houston recorded it. Dolly reportedly earned around $10 million in royalties from that version alone.

She took that money and invested it in a predominantly Black neighborhood in Nashville because she thought it was the right thing to do.

She also quietly helped fund the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, has given more than 300 million books to children through her Imagination Library, and after the 2016 Tennessee wildfires, gave families who lost their homes $1,000 a month for six months.

She was funny about beauty because she never confused beauty with substance.

She knew exactly who she was.

You probably know tox for the 11s, forehead and crow’s feet.

But that’s only part of the story.

Tox, in this case DAXXIFY, can do some pretty amazing things from the mid-face down, including helping to lift the lower-face sag we all start to see as we age and soften the lines and bands that develop in the neck.

And there are a couple of other lesser-known areas you may not even realize we can treat:

1️⃣ NECK
Those platysmal bands pull downward on the lower face. Relaxing them can help smooth the neck and soften that downward pull.

💋Not every lip needs volume.

Nicole came in with beautiful lips already, so this was icing on the cake. Irina used RHA Redensity, the thinnest filler in the collection. It is not there to add size. It holds water in the lip, so the lips look hydrated and healthy and catch the light. If your lips need more volume, she would use a thicker product like RHA 2 or RHA 3.

A few things worth watching for:

💞Irina does not want her patients in pain. After topical numbing, she injects a dental block using lidocaine buffered with bicarb so it does not sting, and she goes from the outside rather than through the gums the way a dentist does. Nicole's upper lip went almost completely numb and she felt nothing.

💉The injection technique here is the Julie Horne approach, though Irina does not stick to just one. She customizes the technique based on what your lips need.

Nicole has had filler migration in the past, so Irina stayed off her vermilion border and worked the body of the upper lip instead. Less border work, less risk of it coming back. Most patients never think to ask about this part, and it matters.

💫Afterward: Alastin anti-bruising cream right on the lips, then Ourself Replenishing Lip Filler, finished with the Ourself lip conditioner gloss.

If Nicole reapplies the Replenishing Lip Filler at home twice a day, her lips will keep plumping over the next month. Some patients get close to another half syringe of volume from the topical alone.
